The phone is: SECURE, COMPACT, THIN and LIGHT with keyboard, touch screen, BT and WiFi. The audio and camera aren't great but fine for my purposes. Not running multiple applications, simultaneously, and a "memory management" utility may explain my experiencing "freezes" rarely. The stock 1200mAH battery doesn't last long with heavy use; perhaps, half the day. The 2400AH replacement batteries, which are the same size as the stock, I bought on eBay for $15.00 (two, new, shipping included) last twice as long. If the thickness and weight of the phone weren't concerns, I'd have gone with the 5500mAH replacement battery. I paid $160 for the phone, which had been used for one day, $25.00 for accessories, and, while there are a couple of things I'd have done differently, I have no complaints.

even memory is free, it hangs everyday, hangs during calls in, most of the time, the dekstop apps hangs too, have to crack my laptop everymonth, my laptop is fine, i'm using 3 laptops. The affiliated apps needs to be updated everymonth or the apps cant be used(few apps), basically BB/Apple is just Marketing strategy, sells stuff that didnt work, and people spend more money on new versions. Hell on earth im gonna touch another BB/Apple.
Overall: TOTAL DISSAPOINMENT, BB SUCKS MAX

I have had the 9900 bold for 2 years now.
it is an exceptionally frustrating phone. The battery life is very low, the phone freezes constantly for a couple of miuntes, and websurfing is frustrating, due to the slowness of the phone, even when it have full 3G signal.
I now have a Galaxy S4, and it is at least 1000 better than the 9900 bold

                            Hi Everyone,

Had this phone for less than a year and bought it from authorized dealer in my country (TAM/Teletama) for about USD 540. Less than a year when I charged it to laptop USB using original data cable the phone just went blank with red indicator light on. Its now in service center from 11 May 2013 until now. They said the IC power just went off (as a note this phone never fell off, always use original accessories) and there's 8 other phone (Blackberry 9900) having the same issue at the dealer. Been 2 months ++ now still no luck on the spare part. Its a pity that this happen to phone that cost above USD 500 and the level of incidence is also high if you Google. Blackberry as a company have to start increase their R&D expenditure to make improvement happen otherwise people will start to swift to other brand and say GOODBYE Blackberry. Blackberry should value their customer even more...

My frustration is the battery life span is too short..charging twice a day for busy man is quite embarrassing.

battery life sucks...applications are limited....to compare it with its price and value, its a complete waste of money.

I love and like this phone

Seriously, the bad thing about this smartphone is the baterry life. In a day, I got to charge my phone for 3 times, note that this is in full use (internet, email, texts)

It's easy to browse the internet on this phone. It is also easy to read and compose emails

The best feature for me about this phone is, you can use it as a modem (tethering)
