would be an excellent device if it had a larger battery, the small 1230mAh battery limits the capabilities of this phone as the user is constantly trying to balance performance with battery life.

I had this phone for about 3 months. Conclusion: great design, excellent keyboard, but HORRIBLE software.
My 1st 9900 was replaced after a month of use - it just bricked itself and couldn't be fixed.
My 2nd shuts off randomly when bellow 50% battery, not to mention that the battery life, even with all the tricks and tips of how to safe, is very short. Tried everything to fix it, I am returning it for warranty, AGAIN.
Not to mention, updating and syncing is pathetic as well - updates freeze, syncing freezes, you have to reconnect your USB for the phone software to recognize the phone (nothing wrong with hardware - it recognizes the phone instantly).
Conclusion: don't buy this phone unless you are willing to risk having so many issues the software has. I bought this phone for the great keyboard, but the software aspect makes this phone not worth it.

Got the 9900, its a powerful phone and I haven't had any problem with it. Nice software and I must encourage u to buy it. :)

Peeps!! Av bin using dis fone for d past 9 months nd havnt had any problems with it, cept for d freezing which occurs very. Rarely nd when it does occur, its brief. Mine hs bin superb in all ramifications. Arguably d best bb around!!

Anybody knows how to fix my BB9900 (bought in China, made by Hungary and use in Phnom Penh, Cambodia )to detect 3G properly as when I tick 2G & 3G in network option, it will show SOS, but when I only selected 2G, it will work properly. Currently, no issue with other blackberry phone to connect 3G and even other BB9900 under AT&T still work properly. I now can not use the phone in 3G as it's important to have 3G detect cuz of faster data send & receive.
Pls help if other user has faced the same issue. I have just updated its IOS to the latest one but still not help.

I just bought a blackberry 9900 and I am very satisfied to wear than the other blackberry I recommend to use this type because it is the best type issued blackberry

ohh noo.....no more blackberry.....to much freezing, this is the last blackberry I want to buy, and I already have android smartphone, much much better...most of blackberry have a poor quality, especially for the processor n also the body...good bye blackberry.

this device is very bad its freezing all the time and the touch screen never works with trackpad if one is working the other is freezing it doesnt have any posetive thing the camera sucks the battery lasts for 3 or 4 hours it always freezez when i want to make important calls never buy it an samsung s duos is much better and cheaper

If it's not the track pad the its the Battery that is swollen. Then I also have a lot op problems with my Browser. I can't keep up with this phone.
