Guys, I REALLY don't understand your negative comments as I'm using this device and I HAVE NOT faced any of the "issues" mentioned above. I'm a heavy business user and battery lasts for 2 days!!! (OE) I had no system lags, slowdowns etc. If you need a good camera then go for different device, this is for professionals. I have used nearly all operating systems(Android, iOS, WM6,7,7.5, Symbian, Bada) and I'm 100%-sure that Blackberry managed to optimise hardware and software the best. TROLLS KEEP AWAY!

shettia, 10 May 2012i want to know which is better the 9900 bold or the 9810 to... moreThey are quite different from one another when they are in your hand. The 9810 keyboard tends to be in a valley between the plastic casing and the screen above it so if you have bigger thumbs then it's not the best choice compared to the 9900, which by the way if you haven't read is not a good phone. But if you're like the average buyer, you'll be dazzled by the glitz and will think that something this pretty can't be all that baddddd. Don't do it. Being married to an unreliable problematic phone for the life of a 2 or 3 year contract can be frustrating and what looked really sexy at first can start to get really old really fast. Do a bit more research my friend.

          VERY ANNOYED.
Loved blackberrys for certain functions but I'm going to switch to a iPhone.
Had my phone for under a year and my phone is no longer functional. I purchased the most durable Otterbox case available for the phone and still it's wrecked. Screen is no longer working. Light comes on but it's stuck at a black screen. Went in to Bell and gave me a couple tips but nothing works. Very unreliable. Used the phone for business and not having a screen on my phone doesn't make it any easier.
All in all I wouldn't suggest this phone to anyone!

I currently own a Bold 9780. Had it for about 1 1/2 yrs now. I recently "upgraded" to the bold 9900. I did all the blackberry transfer goodies through my desktop. After experiencing the 9900, i was genuinely disappointed with the entire quality of the phone. Everything from the battery life to the ONE convenience key that is on the right side. Even some of my favorite apps such as dictionary.com and ultimate fonts did not want to function correctly. I later discover through Blackberry world that the apps were not available for OS7. What kind of crap is that?! Dictionary.com? Not available? Give me a damn break. I could not go back to my 9780 quick enough.

I'll stick with my 9780 for now. Its a solid texter, good camera, WAY better battery life than the 9900, great sun legibility and it doesn't feel as delicate to hold as the 9900. I'm thinking of jumping to an iphone 4s because of the reliable touchscreen, great camera, and i can type with one hand if the situation calls for it.

Save your $$$. Stay away from the 9900. If you are tempted to give the 9900 a test-drive, make sure what the return policy is before you make your transaction.

shettia, 10 May 2012i want to know which is better the 9900 bold or the 9810 to... moreDepends on the usage... I had Torch 9810 have just sold becasue I think 9900 is durable as it doesn't have slider construction.. If you need bigger display then go for Torch, specs are the same.

RIM is years behind in hardware.5mp camera, 720p videorecording, 1.2ghz that too single core.

                          I upgraded from 9700 to 9800 and now 9900.
After much research I am going to swap the dump and useless 9900 for 9780 for 2 simple reasons: 1) Longer battery life and 2) Camera quality.

9900 is a worse phone ever manufactured on earth. You can hardly use it because it runs out of battery all the time and the camera is a failure. You cannot take closeup shots because there is no autofocus and even on non closeup, the picture is blurred when zoom in.

Forget about touchscreen on blackberry, you don't need one. And there is nothing special about OS7, in fact you should avoid it since it drains battery for UNKNOWN reasons.

Mine didnt last one month before packing up. SOOOO ANNOYING!!! I hope RIM or whoever is in charge pays dearly for getting bad phones (which, by the way, are very expensive)into the market.

Guys, do you think it could be comparable to Nokia E6?, seriously? I have used that phone not more than a week and sold.. except of the great keyboard there is NOT any other spec could par with BB 9900. Honestly, that is a different league.

muamar, 02 May 2012Can anyone tell me why there is a limit in installing apps ... moreThere is only 190 MG of internal memory on the phone for applications. You cannot add the applications to the memory card - only the add-ons for the app. Most apps are 7MG or so so it should give you a lot, but you have to be careful how you download and load them. Check the BB site for more info
