i have updated the system software
it shows 7.0 bundle 2406 (v 7.0.0585,platform )
Is this normal?
how to get the software 7.1?

Guys u wont believe how bad the battery life is on this one. I got a brand new bold 9900 in white . The battery only lasts half a day even with the minimal amount of applications on .. i have a one year old torch 9800 even it has a longer battery life than this

And BlackBerry Bold 9790 aka (Onyx3) is next generation of BlackBerry Bold 9700 (Onyx) and BlackBerry Bold 9780 (Onyx2). Bold 9900 exactly have 5MP Rear Camera with many features on it, and absolutely has "Auto Focus".

love this phone! got it 2 days after it came out and it has never disappointed me. its fast and sexy and has everything you need. battery life is kinda bad, need to charge it every day. performance is excellent.

Love the keypad..it is soo nice to type...the only problem i see is battery life.I am still counting my latest update of my software to 7.1.0.205..just done today...excellent build quality too.Except this rest all fine with me

Hey guys I'm really confused between the bold 9790 and the bold 9900. I'm using bold 9780 @ the moment, I'm really waiting for u guys 2 reply and give me an advice.
As I know the bold 9900 has no autofocus and it has 720p HD recording but the bold 9790 has autofocus and it has VGA recording. So I'm really confused ! The CPU is almost the same between 9900(1.2GHz) and 9790(1GHz), so I'm not concerned about the battery life as I can swap the battery for an 9780 battery that can fit the 9790 !
An honest reply from a user who have used these phones will be much appreciated :)

this is BB's best designs but a big failure for not having so many features like front camera,battery life (especially,camera features etc.
in this competitive environment if they start manufacturing such mobiles,they wont last long.sometimes i think BB is a dying brand!

I have a 9900 and it gives me 2days of battery, even in heavy use i Get a good day of battery. I upgraded from a 9700 and the battery usage is the all the same to me. And yes i agree the camera is not all that good. But i don't care, I'm not planing on opening a photo shop. I Love this phone, its fast as hell!

This is RIM greatest failure:
1) Battery would not last more than 6 hours on standby. (Why do you carry a phone that works for only half a day?)
2) Camera has no auto-focus. That means you cannot take closeup shots. (What is the use of the camera?) Samsung is able to pack a 8MP excellent camera in a phone twice as slim.
I upgraded to 9900 from 9800 because 9800 screen started to wobble after 6 months and you cannot use a blackberry without a screen.
RIM slack on research (OS7 is nothing great） and quality. I am going back to iPhone while holding on to my Android S2, pending chat applications that soon replace blackberry.
Blackberry will soon fall in line with nokia due to complacency.
