Great phone I must say. Beautiful Design, I LOVE it! Can't get enough of it. Love the keyboard.
Just one problem though...BATTERY LIFE!! Though we close our Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G coverage, and even going to the extent of dimming the brightness, it still wouldn't last the day.

It's a beautiful device with a fantastic keyboard.
The software it came with (7.0.0) is not so great. It sometimes 'hangs', but it's still workable.
The main drawback is battery life; charged in the evening and in the morning the device is dead... In my opinion this is unacceptable. I already killed all apps, 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi,... still the battery doesn't last a full day

My wife, 2 colleagues and I have this phone. The battery life is ONLY 1-2 days, nothing more. Dont let their specs fool you. You will basically be charging this phone everyday - I dont use the fone very ofter either

Today i upgraded from a bb bold to 9900 touch screen. I had second thoughts about it as i did not want to really go further with my mobile carrier. But after reading your opinions i realise i made a wise choice. Even my bb bold battery does not last long, but then again its like walking with a mini laptop so thats expected. Thank you everyone who posted. You have made an impact on my MOBILE LIFE...LOL

I got this phone 3 days ago and i love it! love the keyboard and the touch screen. so nice to use! the only thing im thinking so far is the battery seems to go down rather quickly, i charged it last night and by 5pm it says 30% battery left. kinda thinking whether to swap or not to another blackberry!? apart from the battery i love it!

I am so happy to own this beauty. I have been a BB user since ages and the last phone I had was the 9800. I got this phone just yesterday and trust me "its a gem".
Everything on this phone is fabulous. The keyboard is truly a masterpiece and you cant resist typing on it, browsing is super fast, the screen is excellent, the speaker and the music is awesome, All in All a great smartphone and a must have BB.
Battery yes is not that a great, but give me a whole 24 hours so I am happy.
So all you people who plan to change to a new phone / new BB, this one you can surely be proud of owning.

Obtained a Blackberry Bold 9900 in December 2011. Having used Blackberry's for +15 years.
Initially very good performance and spec, although battery life was never more than 36 hours.
However in late Jan, the keyboard started to give problems - with "symbols" appearing when a letter key pressed. Reset to factory status - but problem continued.
I'd taken out a Phones4U insurance @£9.99/month - called Phones4U, and their insurance. The store I went to were helpful - going through the factory reset procedure again - but then confirmed unit had to be returned to RIM (but via their own repair shop) as this was their internal procedure.
I asked if I could get a replacement phone - either as part of the warranty or under the Insurance scheme. As I was 10 days over the 28 days from date of purchase, Phones4U wouldn't provide a replacement & their own insurance also wouldn't provide a replacement.
Phone has now been away for 15 days & the latest estimate is for it to be returned to the shop in 6 days time - but this scheduled delivery date has already been shifted out by 5 days - in the last week.
Fortunately my old Blackberry Pearl is still functioning - otherwise I'd be looking at almost 30 days without a mobile phone.
Not happy with the fact the brand new Blackberry failed within 60 days - with no physical damage or obvious cause.
Also not happy with Phones4U, either their insurance (which doesn't cover replacements during repair periods - due to defective equipment) - nor their internal repair procedures, which insist on the phone being transported between various repair facilities needlessly.
Should have stuck with the B/Berry pearl - which hasn't let me down in almost 3 years!
