I did agree that the battery was terrible, but trust me the new 7.1.0.267 precisely detailed, that software update significantly increases battery life it did solve battery issues. And overall the best blackberry ever.. I had all the models of BB and my overall positive impression goes to this model.

I currently have a HTC wildfire s, I hate the battery and it glitches .. and the screen is to small is the blackberry bold 9900 better ?

The battery life sucks on this phone. I regret buying this phone as there is no point having a phone if it keeps on dying.

Just got my bold 9900 5 days ago to replasce my bold 2 (camera could not function) First excited but then confused cos no call logs displayed. After toying around with it, found out something to share. From Home Menu, select Application then select Option - scroll down to Call Management then choose Call Logs and List then set your choice...

Outstanding phone! I'm an INDIAN, got the phone near Mumbai! Mentioned this because the OS 7.1 hasn't been launched yet here, and the current 7.0 has its share of software glitches, which can be annoying, particularly on a bad day! ;)
So had to do a bit of a research and install the unofficial release of the OS 7.1 (7.1.0.205 to be precise)! And since I have installed this, the outstanding beauty gets even better! Minimum software glitches (though there still are few which are pretty manageable, which I guess will be eliminated in the just released 7.1.0.267 which I will update soon) and superb performance- very smooth and great battery life! The battery life's better than the high-end Droids in the market!
All in all, the best Blackberry ever- drop-dead gorgeous, brilliant performance, a fabulous keypad, classy display and fantastic ergonomics!
Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

j, 23 Feb 2012i am planning to buy this phone which i heard is the best o... moreI've owned the Bold 9900 since it launched in August last year. It's been the best Blackberry I've ever owned (coming from an 8900 and 9700)! The keyboard is fantastic, rarely any lagging (except for when using photo editing apps) and is so thin and light! Have not had any issues with it, and I absolutely love this phone. The only draw back I've experienced is the lack of auto focus in the camera. My old BB's were great at capturing text (when you're on the run and have a bad memory like me), and this one just comes out in a blur. For faces and scenery it's been fine though. Hope this helps!

Love this phone! I came from an iPhone 4 and find this phone much nicer to use. Love the keyboard - even with my larger than usual thumbs haha. All round great phone!

Hi Guys!
Got my Bold 9900 last week and am totally in love with it .. Only have 2 issues which others may say is normal .. or not.
1. The trackpad seems to have this squaeky noise when pressed .. Is this normal and will it go away with more use?
2. I have noticed that some keys on the board are dimmer then others .. Like my top row on keyboard are brighter then the Z row ( My C is much dimmer then the rest of the keys)
I'm worried that if this is an issue and i exchange my handset I may get something which may have other problems!
Any advice would be great guys!

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2012I had the BB9900 for 2 months and changed to iPhone 4s ....... moreDitto!!! Had the iPhone 4S for 2 weeks only! Hated it. Back to Blackberry Bold 9900. Very happy. Wouldn't make that mistake ever again.
