as far as using whatsapp on bb devices, whatsapp is no longer supported on bold 9900 either, but still, I downloaded a suitable version directly from the whatsapp website to my 9900 device, and it works perfectly.

(sorry if it's a dumb quest... moreYes, you can because BB10 OS works fine with regular APN Internet, no need for BIS or BES.
You can use BlackBerry built in e-mail client, BBM, BlackBerry World, BlackBerry Protect with a basic internet subscription just like any android, windows phone, etc.
P.S. - Try to use BBM, you will forget WhatsApp!

can email be used without BIS?
(sorry if it's a dumb question, last BB I used was 9900 and I haven't used BB10 OS)
I wanna get the Classic for work, emails and whatsapp (and before anyone says whatsapp is not important, here in the UAE it is used for work)
Only thing I want to know is can u use a built-in email client (like on iOS or Android) without BIS

yes it does. im running 2 whatsapp on my phone now.1 from BBW and 1 more from play store. Both works fine.
But for the android edition, the notification come out as a bell with a bell sound. it will also show as whatsapp

BlackBerry does not produce phones for kids to play Angry Birds or to do naked selfies in bathroom, in front of a mirror. BlackBerry terminal are intended to business segment. You will not see any CEO / Executive playing Candy Crush or chatting in Whats App.
In terms of social media, we, BlackBerry owners have and use BBM.

Hi
I bought a new blackberry classic last week.I charged the battery to 100% and removed from charger and left it while sleeping at night by 11pm. When i checked in the morning charge came down to 94%. Is it normal in blackberry classic??????
