The main differences between BIS/BES aka APN BlackBerry and standard APN Internet are Security of transmissions and Data Compression.
That's why BlackBerry services are banned in some countries - Because secret services do not have any control over BlackBerry Servers.
Data Compression - I remeber, back at the beginning of 2000, when I fist used BlackBerry, my subscription plan included at that time 5MB data traffic for emails over APN BlackBerry and back then I hand months when I was using about 3 ouț of 5 MB due the BlackBerry server high compression rate.
Data Compression is very usefull when you are in roamning.

Had this Q20 Classic for a while, went to China and US back and forth, I can use both CDMA SIM in China & GSM SIM! Phone is Perfect except not much application compare to IOS & ANDROID. One thing about Blackberry amaze me was its security, I tested out with a friend's friend in China who work in the "HACKING & LISENING" Department of the Chinese Government, he told us that for some reason when you shut off the GPS they can't locate the phone, even you use all three China Carrier SIM, the Blackberry Security somehow blocks it, at the same time, when Security in the Blackberry Apps were turn on, they could not hear anything but Hissing Noise, they said they will try to find out the reason! Well, this is the best security phone I use ever! Not letting those Chinese AH invade my privacy! I give a 100 Stars for BlackBerry!

I've used my Blackberry classic for like 3months time and it is absolutely amazing! no problems at all no freezing and bettery life is incredible it took me 16 hours to drained the battery. Despite that, applications such as facebook or wechat is nearly unusable keeps on crashing whenever i'm using it. just create a shortcut through the browser for facebook and it fixes everything but for wechat nahhh, forget about it. overall i would rate this phone 8/10 and yes i'm very happy for having this phone. Would recommend you guys to get one! i used to be a iphone 5 user and yes blackberry classic killed it!

I am not very sure but the problem may be that another app is accessing the camera, in the background, after some updates. Have a look into Security Settings > Security and Privacy > App Permissions, and try switch off all apps that are allow to use camera.
The last solution will be Hard Reset your BlackBerry!

Never had any bluetooth problems with my old World edition. Regretfully changed for a Q9000 which had serious compatibility Bluetooth problems. Hopfully changed for a Classic, but Bluetooth problems remained unchanged. Unable to manage and main and maintain reliable pairing and phone files transfers, for 2 different family cars, (2015 Toyota Camry XLE and 2013 Ford Edge SEL). Shamefully, my Blackberry Classic must be completely erased from both cars bluethooth systems, every 8 to 10 weeks and paired again. Troubles such as random pairing failure and increasing non transfer of all phone files start after 3 or 4 weeks and reach total Bluetooth pairing failure, this generally after 8 or 10 weeks. It heard that lots of BlackBerry owners encounter the same problems. It is not surprising that BlackBerry is loosing all their clients. For my business PIN safe communications where essential, but we will find other ways with better phones...

If you don't have 4G coverage in your area or 4G signal is very weak and the phone struggles to connect to a 4G cell, you can setup your BlackBerry to choose and use 3G network only for a better stand-by.
In terms of battery autonomy it is better to have a full 3G signal instead of 1 or 2 lines of 4G signal. The phone effort to keep the network alive is less in this case.
