I have had the Blackberry Bold ( still use it as back up phone), and have the Blackberry Torch as my main, both great phones ( give reasons in a minute) and now I have changed my main phone to BB Classic- a gift. I have tried other phones but nothing beats the speed of Blackberry phones, no lagging etc. when opening anything even web pages. Most of all I like phones with keyboards, but both the Blackberry Torch and Blackberry Classic have touch screen and keyboards-best of two worlds so to say.

I am not much of a game player , if at all, and these if I play, it will be on a Ipad not a mobile. Now, for previous BB holders there are some points you should know. The BB classic needs some time to get use too just like any other mobile, You swipe up to open, you swipe down to get access to all settings and wife, you swipe right to get main menu icons, you swipe, anyway you will get the hand of its use once you start playing.. only thing that annoyed me is, I kept pressing 'call' unknowingly' when I really wanted to check messages. That is normal and will take time to get use to using it.

The one thing I don't like, is that you have to use a special key provided to unlock both sim card and SD card slots, if you lose that teeny key, guess you would have to use a pin. It would have been nice if BB added a spare one just in case we lost it.

Also, the whole slide piece ( very tiny indeed) that holds the sim card, can come out fully-so that is flimsy, so if you lose that, I guess it will render phone useless.. no spare either.

One special feature it has, is that is has speed dials for the alphabet not numbers, so you can click specific letters to open up menu, texts, launch browser, add a task or note, and even assign contacts. I like that it has the alphabet rather than numbers-thus, providing extra speed dials.

These are two things I wish they left normal--maybe they have a reason for it, if so I have yet to find out. Otherwise, phone itself it pretty excellent and main reasons I love BB is that is is a very fast mobile and I am a fan of the keyboard.

That's all I can tell you for now, as still new to it. Hope this helps for anyone thinking of buying it.

No special actions is needed in this case. For more infos check your BlackBerry User Guide!

        If you have an old BlackBerry phone that runs BB7 OS or older, in this case you need BIS or BES aka BlackBerry APN Internet.

        I hope you understand what I am talking here.

        Also, if you work in a company and your company uses BES or BIS, and wanna use their mail server, ask your sys admin to help you with that!

            If you are more familiar with full touch-screen phones, then Z30 may be the solution for you.

            If you had a BlackBerry in the past, like Bold or Curve, then you may find qwerty keybord a must have and The Classic will be the natural upgrade in this case.

            Both Classic and Z30 are solid, mature phones, nice build, fine quality with attention to details, because they are BlackBerry phones and not Utok, Allview, Akai...

                  Hi blackberry lovers, im confused between the blackberry classic and the blackberry z30,help me guys to decide which blackberry is better for me,im not a gaming like person,i i used my phone to play music,surfing the net like gsmarena,checking facebook.thats it. Im not a game addict. Help me decide what blackberry is suit for me.thanks guys

                    Z30 is a full touch-screen phone with a bigger screen then Classic.

                    Sonp it will be something like qwerty keyboard vs full touch-screen, depending on your needs.

                      The classic is amazing, I just got it coming from a Galaxy and im beyond happy. The app store has finally been fixed and loaded with new apps with the help mof the Amazon App store! Get it man, its amazing!

                        Potam, 03 Sep 2015My BlackBerry Z10 was stolen yesterday. Right now I'm in a ... moreHey POTAM, I actually own three droids; LG G4, HTC One M9, and Samsung Galaxy S6. Alongside with the Blackberry Z30, Q10, Z10 and Classic. And an iPhone 5S 32GB. I am more than happy to answer any questions and even about small minor details. If you are wondering about HTC vs BB Classic, and I notice you said you needed it for watching series, so can I suggest the BB Z30 into the mix? It has a big screen and very smooth phone. All three phones work with SIM Cards GSM. Does Blackberry App World have the app for the series you watch while you had the Blackberry Z10? Or do you watch it on the browser? keep in mind, Android has the official apps for everything. To watch series, I recommend the HTC and BB Z30 as they have large screens. Also the Z30 if you have the BB HDMI cable, you can simply connect it to your HD TV and watching Youtube or Crackle app (movies) on the BB now can be seen in HD on the TV. Both BB and Android have "cast" apps that mirror what you watch into the TV, The browser on the Blackberry to be honest I find it way better than the Android browsers. It has some cool built in features. File managing is easy on both and both support SD cards. And multi-tasking to be fair, Android does a great job specially the HTC, but Blackberry just does it better. :D
                        Android tends to sometimes reload the apps, while I have noticed that BB not just keeps them from reloading but also is able to keep up with multiple browser tabs. One neat thing is that on the BB, while using YouTube on the broswer, it keeps YouTube playing the video even if you go to the next browser or if you go to a different app. Battery life. BB wins. Both the Classic and Z30 last pretty long. Droids tend to run out fairly fast but also charge very fast. One cool thing about HTC is that it has the HTC Sense which is like the Blackberry HUB but for social media & topics. Instead of Messages swiped to the left, you will get all your FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and many other (HTC Sense compatible) social media updates. topics and news mixed into one big "HUB". I find it very cool and love it specially for news updates and for GSM Arena! :D

                        Camera... HTC Camera is superb. It takes excellent pictures both rear camera and the front facing camera totally rocks!!!. Blackberry pictures look very realistic too but it is only 8MP vs 19MP camera and the BB front facing camera is nothing special. Video (and slow mo) recording, HTC and BB both do similar. (iPhone 5S 8MP Slow Mo video recorder is WAY better and smoother than both). BB isnt bad but it is not in the level of HTC.

                        Music: The music player on HTC it has two. The built in music player sounds pretty good and it has HTC Boom (a type of music equalizer that makes the music sound better with ear buds). HTC also has the Google Play Music player.. it does not have music equalizer so the Google Play music tends to sound flat. The Classic/Z30 music player sounds smoother as it has Music Equalizer (the Rock an R&B sound the best).

                        (Note: if you have racing games on the BB, you can play them on the HD TV using the BB Z30 as a controller with a long HDMI cable)

                        So dude pick your options. BB Z30 vs HTC. Classic rocks too the keyboards feels awesome. But it cannot handle games, and the movie streaming apps like Crackle do not function on BB Classic, Youtube on the browser works fine and can also be sent via HDMI cable. But its an excellent phone thats for sure!! Hope my post helps dude and sorry about your loss of the Z10 :(

                              Romano please I need your candid & honest opinion. I don't play games with my phone, I only surf the Internet and watch series on it.
                              One more thing Romano, I'm also concerned about the Internet subscription because while I was using the Z10, I was using a Glo sim and with 1k I get 3072MB a month. Please does the subscription also apply to the Classic on Glo line?
                              Please I'm waiting for your quick response
