I'm using a bb classic, for me its the best fone. Its browwer is superfast, the phone is really great but u really have to get used to it inorder to get functional with it especially if u are coming from an android device

I agree with your assessment of BlackBerry support in India. It is dubious at best. Unless you are prepared to DIY stuff a bit, having a working BlackBerry would be a challenge. The apps you have mentioned do work. FB for BlackBerry is OK. Whatsapp works well. Instagram support is available as a paid application igrann pro.(Their free version is not a 'headless' application - meaning, it does not work in the background).

Just the socia... moreI don't know how things are going on Indian market when it comes about BlackBerry, but if you buy this phone from a trusted source / importer / dealer, you will get BlackBerry International Warranty. International means valid thru all over the world, and any BlackBlack authorized service unit will be replace and not repaire your phone.
You can use the Classic for facebook, twitter, whatsapp and others.

Anyway, you need both hands to work properly with BlackBerry Classic.

Just the social networking apps, i.e., facebook, whatsapp and instagram. no games as such. Just want a user friendly phone which has an accurately sized screen and not those big phablets. its got everything i need. sorry for not mentioning, im from india. In india, no one owns a blackberry now. If by chance, its screen or the phone gets damaged we might not get the parts And this phone might be a waste then. Am i not right here, marius?

I'll be going to college in a mon... moreWhen I said that BlackBerry are not suited for a youngster, what I meant is that BlackBerry devices are pure business phones and not intended for multimedia / entertainment. Of course there are games and apps in BlackBerry World and you can also import games and apps from Android, but that's not BlackBerry target.
BlackBerry 10OS is more mature, stable and user friendly in compare with BlackBerry OS7.

I think you've just answer to youself with that, but at the end it's your money, your call.
P.S. There are 3 or 4 years old BlackBerry phones who are still receiving updates. Are your reading this Samsung and others?!?!

That means, your BlackBerry will be swaped and not repaired in case that something goes wrong.
If you like a BlackBerry with removable batttery, you may go for a BlackBerry Q10: It has the same specs as Classic, but comes with a removable battery.

Im a high school passout. I'll be going to college in a month or so. After blackberry announced bbm for android and ios, the craze for blackberry ended. Ive used sony xperia mini pro, then bb bold 2, iphone 4s, samsung note 2, and now i want to go back to bb and buy the classic. But as i read in the comments, there were people saying its not suited for a youngster. Im very attracted towards this phone. especially the white colour. What do you suggest marius and ann carrie?
Should i go with what i like or what people's choice says?
one more thing is that i want to buy a physical qwerty keypad phone, which leaves me with no other choice.

That means my reservation to the Q20 Classic as 1 of Blackberry's best phones is still rated,meaning that the SlimPort works as a USB,HDMI etc connectivity port for all connectivity purposes.then i can say this again; "Blackberry is the flyest".
