So it is smooth , efficient and lagfree for the *intended* use. Not for playing games or major multimedia consumption or installing a million "fart" applications.
BlackBerry OS is lean and mean. Not fat and bloated.

Because we need a more stable OS who does not crash when we most need to use our terminal. I have used Android phones, so I know what I am talking about.
P.S. - But, just to play your game, about Apps: BlackBerry 10 OS can run both, Android Apps and Windows Phone apps. That beside native BlackBerry Apps. Does a ZenPhone 5 is able to run WP and BlackBerry Apps?

However, it is not that simple in Australia to upgrade when there is essentially no support from Blackberry, and it costs too much for the Classic. To buy online one risks getting nothing. You dont know if you will actually get your mobile. There is no upgade path for a Bold 9900 user, and from all the hardware problems that came with that phone build. So we end up dumping BB. OK we have gone to Android. It is ok, but not like the clean experience of BB, but we have no choice. By BB's own actions, we are force to move to a different OS. Not a smart loyalty program.

Do not judge a BB by the specs. It might not boast a quad CPU and an immensely powerful GPU but c'mon, we all know why Android based phones need that. Android does not handle HW well whereas OS 10 is better optimized and will be less bogged down over time and you don't have to go meticulously through the OS wiping all unnecessary stuff. Plus build quality was never an issue with high-end BBs you get a solid piece of hw for your money. Plus for people who values keyboard over a huge touch screen, this is probably the best option.

still on keyboard, no camera high price no new invention old processor. No sign to come back. I was bb fan 5 years back but now never.

George, 17 Mar 2015Hello, what SAR values has BlackBerry Classic for the Eur... moreI, did not find any officially BB SAR values for Classic, but SAR value for BB Classic sold by Vodafone in UE is 0.59 W/kg, so I think that is the benchmark.
I also found these measurements: Head: 0.70 W/kg 1 g; Body: 0.62 W/kg 1 g and when phone is used as a WiFi Hotspot SAR value is 1.23 W/kg 1 g.

Does anyone got the latest OS update for Classic, 10.3.1.2xxx ? If yes, what is new in it?
From what I have read on www this update is with dedication for Z30 and its main goal is to fix some browser security issues!
I still have 10.3.1.1565.

Hi
Blackberry has really got a style and knows how to play her cards. Though I am not owning the 'Classic' the roll out of the update of the new OS was a great occurance to us Blackberry conzumers.
My Z10 used to feel like an ordinary boring handset before the upgrade was released. I even begun to envy my spouse' Samsung Galaxy SIII mini. But after the upgrade modified my Z10 it is now a super handset capable of just about everything.
It is now capable to Google Talk like Android's feature. The amazon package application is the best thing ever happened to us Blackberry clients. I think John Chen has what it takes to place Blackberry at the tip top position since it iz a business minded designed

Yes I did notice that. It is a niche that BB is starting to explore more: A full touchscreen phone.
But BB, also gives you the opportunity to choose the old style classic fashion way with terminals like: Q5, Q10, Classic and Passport.
That is why I have got the "Classic" way!

For BlackBerry Protect you need either a BB 10 OS, or for old BB terminals you need to pay for a BlackBerry Internet Service.
Main difference between Q10 and Classic are quality of materials, finishes and toolbelt.
