Because the BlackBerry marketing intelligence function is both blind, and dumb. It doesn't see or hear the customer's behaviour from which it can deduce the customer's
needs. It needs a thorough shakeup.

I bought a Z10 ( my previous phone was a 9360). And I really got disappointed to find that Docs To Go could NOT create a PowerPoint presentation, it could only view or edit. I've finally gotten an application that creates the PowerPoint files, but a question remains: did BlackBerry have to ruin such a good application? I hope this ain't the case with the Classic. If it be, #$@*+"!

i can't understand the pricing strategy. Q10 is $250. only putting some extra button and trackpad how possible price would be double? And after 2year of Q10 specs almost same why?? what should advantage of updation?

Wise men learn from others mistake but idiot like bb maker are not learning from their own mistakes. Surely they have got suggestions from millions of fan that what they want but still they come with the same features which is tooooooooo old for a dumb mobile users so what do you expect from expert users. Classic should have been octa core, 3gb ram, dual sim, 16mp camera otherwise what is the difference bw q10 n classic. Only a fool will buy this phone.

The Q10 is still a good smartphone but folk fancy a new phone can buy this.If your happy with Q10 then stay with it,lots folk do stay with their favourite phone and just buy a new battery to make it new.

Can anyone tell me why someone would puchase this over the Q10? Specs are almost similar. Can you really justify spending over twice the amount just for the trackpad?

However this is a brilliant move from BlackBerry, IMO. Give a chance to pure keyboard users to take tentative steps (swipes?) on touch interface. They always can fall back to keys whenever necessary. This might cure the 'touch phobia' for some of them, old BlackBerry users.
I think the strategy might work.

Hardware QWERTY keyboards just wont take off again. Theres too many moving parts to go wrong and brake. Touch/gesture really IS the way foward. I can only envision celebrities (if you count Kanye West as a celebrity), corparate (business') and OAPs buying this handset.

So go buy another another brand.

That is where classic comes into picture.
