Hmm...between this and the Q10 which one has a better processor. Because it's almost the same snapdragon S4 right? And will it be worth it if i have a q10 and want to upgrade to the classic?

Alert! Calling all hackers and techies! Seriously, so, the upcoming Blackberry Classic (Q20) will have a non-removable battery. We users of qwerty phones (such the great but aging Nokia E72) will be depending on you to provide us all a way replacing the BB Classic battery when it becomes unusable -- as all Classic batteries will. So, start figuring various root/workaround methods for us (future purchasers of the Classic) who see "qwerty" as essential and elegant. Beyond the year-long debate about removable vs non-removable, a cellphone with a non-removable battery smells almost like "planned obsolescence".

Connor, 12 Oct 2014This is not true, Blackberry does not use this data system ... moreI arrived in Australia with a bold 9900 and a curve 9320. Bought Optus prepaid sim's and once registered and turn back on, both mobiles registered immediately for the full BB functions on Optus prepaid 4G ready plan. Easy. So did not need any BIS stuff in Australia no matter what your BB is. Even the email's were setup immediately. Very happy with it.

I was waiting for this as an upgrade for my dad, but this turned to have absolutely zero upgrade over the Q10. Just increase in screen size, and by using metallic frame, made it heavy as hell.

Anonymous, 04 Oct 2014unfortunately that's not gonna happen mate. BIS uses data c... moreThis is not true, Blackberry does not use this data system in their new phones. Since the q5/q10/z10 release they are actually using the data that smartphones/iPhones use, so this is not applicable to any new blackberry phones. Blackberry data is jsut packaged as regular data now unlease you have a bold/curve/torch.

AnonD-311377, 03 Oct 2014I miss that FREAKING cheap internet plan! LOL
I really w... moreunfortunately that's not gonna happen mate. BIS uses data compressing system, that's why it's plan is cheap. compressed data = less data used = cheaper plan. it's great for students but since BB targets businessmen who can pay more and needs unlimited data, common internet plan is the best.
but the best thing is BB10, although using same internet plan like android, uses less data unlike android who sucks data like dracula. reason is, background running apps. BB10 have less than that. so you save data more on BB10. i compared this using my Xperia Z and BBZ30. the difference is noticeable based on same usage.

Will this have the Paratek Antenna Technology. The Z30 has the active system, and Z10 and Q10 has the static system. The active system in the Z30 is better but what will the Classic have - need strong best signal ability.

Bam, 20 Sep 2014I really don't understand why some people chase Blackberry ... moreNo. Its innovative rather than copying. And consumers love the innovation. I have a BlackBerry Z30 but I use WhatsApp more frequently than BBM. Sometimes in the future, WhatsApp may be replaced by other advanced messenger apps. Who knows right?
