m reely confused b/w the Curve 8520 and 9300 !!
duz it reely make sense to spend 5K extra just for 3G ..

can anyone please tell me about the shiny surface sides of the blackberry curve 9300 3g smartphone, also if the shiny part gets damaged by some kinda rubbing, then what's the solution ?

I almost bought one of these until I saw the screen. Back to 320x240 (a huge step backward from the short lived 8900). It looked and felt cramped, like the Precision theme was just shoehorned on the low resolution display in stark comparison to the older 83xx series 'berries which the OS and icons were designed for the limited resolution. RIM should have at least dropped in a 480x360, but considering the Bold 9780 has the same resolution at the moment, I can see why this one was held back a bit for a lower price "consumer" model.
Everything else about the phone felt great, but the Precision icon theme that debuted with the Bold 9000 on AT&T was really meant for a higher resolution screen. Icons and text while customizable, still look poorly rendered.

Finally the OS 6 upgrade for unbranded. BB Curve 3G is released in India. The firmware can be downloaded via the below link

Once downloaded, just install the file, connect your BB to the comp and start the BB Desktop Manager....

Its very nice phone. I bought 1st of this month. before was using Nokia e63. But this BB is awesome. I love it.

just bought this phone, it'll be a birthday gift to my girl. I got an iphone, but most definitely. BlackBerry will be my 2nd choice of phone. So happy that i bought this for her :)

I was skeptical about bb9300 cos of the screen resolution 320 x 240 til i handled one last week running on os6.i culdnt tel the difference between the display of this and that of bold9780.far better than what i had thought,better than the display of my e63 which has even 256k colours.i am buying this next week.

Well,i was skeptical about this phone because of the resolution,until i handled one last week running on os6.i culdnt tell the difference between the display of this phone and that of 9780.it was superb,better than that of e63,better than what i was thinking it would be.the pix were very also cool.i'm getting this phone next week.
