muthu, 13 Feb 2012guys i want to purchase this handset from foreign, but some... moreHi I work for 3G,About 3g BB curve 9300 ,if you are planning to get an imported phone which is unlocked, mostly these phones work fine in India as the network in India is not that strong compared to UK and other countries (In terms of the internet and all the other apps and users) Those phone resets by itself because of strong network and data on the phone, so the phone resets by itself which means it refreshs all the data so that the phone should not give further problems,However you can also do a back up and restore of data on pc and then do data wipe and restore all data and your phone will work fine,However its your call. Thanks

                      i hope this helps :D

I have posted this review WITH PHOTOGRAPHS and more on my website, kidbots.com under the folder > kidbots.com/WEBADD/BLACKBERRY_9300_REVIEW/BB_9300_REVIEW.html < I paid CASH for the 9300 from WIND Mobile here in Vancouver, B.C. Canada and have been fighting with it for over 2 months. The Operating System ( 6 ) from RIM on this 9300 is bloated to death with un- needed junk like two full screen, with sound, videos that play every time you turn it on ( often, since you must regularly re-set the 9300 since it collects garbage on a minute by minute basis until nothing works - the experts call this "Blackberry Memory Leakage... ! ) WIND mobile is new in Canada, and for $49 a month I get UNLIMITED Everything including BB, data, and Laptop tethering (which I am using to type this ), so when it actually "works" it is great. All professional reviews by Electronics websites state that the 9300 is a DOWN-GRADE of existing BB's and I did not pick up on this until AFTER I paid cash... IF the OS6 from RIM was revised so that the "USER" (that would be me) can actually delete tons of useless garbage, then I think it would be great, but now it constantly generates tons of ERROR MESSAGES most of which report LOW MEMORY. This could be fixed in a week. The technical problems with the carrier, WIND are being sorted out, but the total dysfunction in Management between Corporate Stores, Franchise Stores, Support in Cairo Egypt, and MANAGEMENT in the head Office, where no one talks to anyone, ever, at all, results in huge customer service problems that are totally unnecessary, all of which could be fixed in a week if anyone in Head office bothered to address the issues. I am hoping that WIND gets its act together. Rim could address the ERROR generation on the OS6. The 9300 is reviewed as an "ENTRY" level cell phone - something I never thought would be used to describe a Blackberry, since, for years, they have been cutting edge leaders - their decision to flaunt a gutted version on the public is bewildering, and hundreds of unhappy customers have reviewed the problems world wide. The battery life on my 9300 was 3 hours, and I purchased 2 extra batteries and two battery chargers, and put a plastic tab that I can pop up over the battery contacts to disconnect the battery entirely, so that when "I" want to use it, it actually works. The 9300 has the years of research in RIM behind it, it is solid, it has GPS mapping, BLuetooth, a camera with Video that is "ok", Wi-Fi, and the typical BB qwerty keyboard. I have lots of cell phones, many are Blackberry, and the 9300 keypad is a bit "light" for me, since CLICKING the trackpad is accidental, and scrolling it over shoots or under shoots, but, it has the advantage that it cannot clog with dust like the trackpad. The trackpad, on the other hand, has a SOLID mechanical scroll movement that I prefer. The Speaker is LOUD, the mic is crisp, and, if it stopped giving hundreds of MEMORY errors, it would be great. As I stated, this problem can be FIXED. NOW. The back of the CASE is hollow plastic and could quickly be re-designed to have a battery twice as big, and this would FIX the poor battery life. WIND dropped the 9300 just after I got it, and replaced it with the 9360, with a faster CPU, more memory, more features, BUT with the same tiny battery, so ALL dealers that I have talked to in Vancouver report upset customers on the 9360 which is WORSE than the 9300! (That's why I got 2 extra batteries and charges for my 9300). If WIND cleans up its act in Management, and RIM allows USERS to delete the bloated, unnecessary "Features" in the present OS 6, I may end up yet as a delighted CUSTOMER. If not, I will have a brick, to use as a paper weight. Time will tell. If you are an EXPERIENCED user, DO NOT GET THIS 9300 ! Much to my horror, ROGERS and other providers just started to advertise this 9300 and I had hoped it was DEAD... I asked WIND what to do with the 9300 if I paid even more cash for a REAL Blackberry, and they said "throw it out" or "Give it to a KID", but, any kid is 10 times more demanding than an adult, and would be severely disappointed in less than a day, since everything they tried to do would generate an ERROR and quit! If you have a wretched PQRS7 phone, and want a real keypad, for LIGHT, Occasional use, then this might work. BUT, don't even think about typical full- screen YOUTUBE videos live streamed through the DATA on the 9300 - you will either get an ERROR, or after buffering a while get a few seconds of real video, followed by chopped up video and sound garble, that will just annoy you... There is more detail on my kidbots.com/WEBADD/ review, and I will UPDATE it as time progresses. If you have not yet purchased a 9300 READ ALL THE REVIEWS ! If you already have one, write RIM and demand that they upgrade the OS6 with something that is not bloated! As I said, that could be done in a week if anyone in charge wanted it!...

I've had a Storm in the past and now have the Curve 9300 3G, I can happily say the curve 9300 is an amazing phone, mine came with OS6 (if your still on OS5 you can upgrade).
The camera is 2mp and can be used for video calling, recording, still pictures etc, with a lack of flash this is really the only downfall to the curve 9300, with the 256mb RAM I have BBM, Facebook and all the other useful apps and I still have enough memory for the blackberry to run smoothly (roughly 40mb free for apps currently but I'd suggest to keep 10mb free minimum to allow for logs etc)

The bb is one superior phone, wi-fi works without any problems what so ever, phone is blazingly fast at downloading and surfing the web in 3g areas.

                                    I'd definitely recommend.
Just remember your 9300 is like a computer but due to that you get one very stable, safe & secure and fast OS.
