Hey, does anyone know if with the curve I can use a desktop NOT connected to the internet to send and receive e-mails? I mean, instead of using the bby device, I connect it into the desktop, open a software and send/receive emails?

im sitting here with the 8300 and hte 8800 im my handand though the 8800 has a bigger screen, and can support GPS.

      Im going for the 8300,
infact i bought one about an hour ago!

an iv been playing with the 2 for over a week! (without a sim so some functions werent working)

The 8300 dosnt have video but who cares!
if if your looking for a good phone to surf with or e-mails get a blackberry, if your looking for a phone that just flat out dose everything but screen size isnt an a priority go for a n95,

                      @ Kumar

I think it was just plain and simple bad luck. Sorry mate! Faulty BBs are rarely heard of. Ive had the 8300 for almost 6months with no issues regarding the trackball. I know tonnes of ppl who r using it with no complaints what so ever.
