I have owned a treo forthe past 5 yrs. I'm now switching to BB Curve and hope I'm not making a mistake. I did like the look and feel and will miss the touch screen of my old phone, but I've been told that I'll get over that and appreciate the reliability of this new version on BB. I'll see ans let you know.

another good looking device from RIM...however, the camera is not the best you can get on the market, and the question remains: why the camera, as this device is supposed to target the corporate market? I'm using a 8700r and honestly, i'm not really impressed with anything RIM came out with after this model.

Using a Pearl now. Have an 8300 in to test. Not overly impressed. Keyboard is much nicer, but not as bright a screen, less on-board memory than the Pearl and a cheaper plastic look to the Curve are all negatives. Pearl's camera in my opinion was also better and viewfinder was bright enough to see on the Pearl. In short, as much as I was wanting the Curve, I'm keeping the Pearl. Just a more solid phone.

I bought my 8300 this morning on Cingular's website for $199 with free shipping and I should get it tuesday. I'm concerned I will miss the trackwheel, but I welcome the Camera. many bra-less hot women in the NYC subways in the summer time, I need to make some videos bad!!!!

Saw one yesterday at AT&T... only a little wider than the Pearl, but so much better with a bigger screen and a very well designed keyboard. I think the best thing about the phone is the standard 3.5mm headphone jack on the top corner of it and the inclusion of stereo earbuds in the box. Thank God somebody is starting to think...

The deal-breaker for me was the fact that there's no GPS on this thing. I'm addicted to my Telenav, and having to purchase an external GPS receiver to use it with the Curve is a no-go.

to george, windows mobile is a fairly unstable OS. while it can handle 3rd party apps, it crashes far more frequently then blakcberries. also blackberrys run the push email system far better then good link and windows mobile touch screens are faulty. i have seen then stop working for no reason several times. blackberry all the way

All I really care about is the tereo blutooth. This is a huge advantage to this phone if you ask me. I have been carrying around an iPod and my phone. This is going to be more convienent!!

Been trying this out this week and I'M NOT REALLY CONVINCED, it is an improvement on the pearl, but saying that I still wouldn't acctually pay for this thing, should be free to all tariffs over 20 quid if you ask me, save your money and just get another hand set for nowt, it's nothing special
