aziz, 20 Jan 2010can i use this the bb 8310 as a moderm -and how do i connec... moreYes you could use the 8310 as a modem, first you have to install the blackberry desktop software on ur PC, then you will connect ur blackberry phone through the usb port and put in ur password and allow software to synchronize, you then go to tools/internet option on ur desktop software and create a dial up account giving the created account a name and rem to put in ur internet subsciber APN code in APN section after which you will connect to the internet using the created account from start/ connect to/ dial up account name, when it says connected you then open ur PC internet browser and you should be fine. If it doesnt connect go to start/ connect to/ created account/ properties and set, make sure it is set to standard modem, then retry rem no username nor password might be needed, just dial.

i have just gotten one and any time i recieves sms from a contact already on the BB it only displays the number not the contact name.i need to know if it is about the settings of the phone need to get this corrected.

I have just bought bb but i have not be able to access the video camera and the camera.the problem is that anytime am trying to use them.after clicking on anyone ,it will just stand still by the screen and it would be adjusted either to go back or front i.e all the functions on the batons would not be working again.and that is the purpose of purchasing the phone.
please kindly reply me to know what to do

i have been having my blackberry 8310 for two years now,,, last week i downloaded mxit on it and after booting it never came on again ,, it just shows the hourglass for about 20 seconds and then the redlight comes on.. is it the end of my beloved blackberry? help pliz coz i just love it.. and im addicted to it ......jothamithag@yahoo.com
