thanx mate..i have already figured it out... moreThere is a full step-by-step guide on crackberry but I did the "short" version:
1- Download the OS5 SW from BB site, select Greece, Wind Hellas, Curve 8520. Or from the crackberry forums, there's a link.
2- Install new OS, and open the folder it installs too, delete file "vendor.xml" and the in the same folder, select Loader.exe
3- Turn off internet on laptop, or PC and the plugin the phone.
4- Follow the steps to create a backup (even 3rd party apps) and the select Next.
Now you just wait for it to reload. Also, before you need to create a backup just in case Loader doesn't save everything. That only took me like 30 minutes once installed. And, like I said, I did have an SMS issue, which fixed itself. Now I am having just a few errors when calling a certain contact. Other than that, its great!! Good luck!

You do need BIS for it to work though.

thanx mate..i have already figured it out..yes,the PIN is coming together with the device itself..u r true JRF..PIN is unique n personal to each device..hehhehe..safoo,dont be regret dude..i think the PIN is more cool if u just get what u got..coz,if u can choose the PIN..erm,to me its not cool anymore coz everybody want to have their own "unique" PIN..so,better get what comes from the device..hehehe..
yes,nowadays im a bit frust dude with my device..it seldom hangs especially when im on the line..thats really makes me annoying..sometimes when im chatting through comment in FB also it can hang..haiya..makes me headache..
so JRF,if let say i want to update my software to the OS 5.0,can u plz tell me exactly step-by-step..

hello friend,long time no see huh,neway,ive got thi... moreI haven't had these issues at all, but I don't call for more than 3 or 4 minutes. You might need to reinstall the OS or a newer one. I updated mine to OS5 and everything works smoothly. I had an issue with SMS but that went away after like 40 minutes of using it. Try doing a backup first and then do a Security Wipe. Or just install the OS again or update it. That would be my first suggestion. If none of these options work, then take it in for a repair or exchange if you can.
Also, the PIN is unique and is personal to each device. You could get it released from your current carrier and then have it activated with a different carrier.

Decided to upgrade my OS from 4.6.1 to 5.0! Works great and looks nice too. I love the new blue-ish and dark grey/black highlights. I would recommend it for everyone who loves their Blackberry!

Is it true that the Blackberry 8520 is available without FM Radio. I just visit the web page web page http://www.fones.com/mobilephone/5309.html#specs where I found no information which says that Blackberry 8520 comes with a built in FM radio features.

Hey ppl,
I have my BB for 1week and 5 days... im still learning alot. last night i was in mxit the phone freezed, the trackpad got stuck... i managed to dlt mxit and put the phone off.
this morning the phone is still off... when i take out the Battrey the red light stays on... if i charge the phone the light is on...
the phone is dead dead dead...
kindly assist.
