am from the Philippines and it's my first time that i 've got to use a Blackberry phone and i sure love it.

am a fan of touchsccreen phones. at first, it was a bit hard for me to adjust yet I was able to cope with it in just short while.

overall appearance is A-OK. but am just worried about the shiny black piano finish paint. it may chip-off easily.

optical trackpad seems to be hypersensitive yet it never fails to amaze me.

i've got a prepaid service from Globe Telecom. i thought i'll be having problems with BIS and my blackberry 8520 features will not work yet i was surprised that they also offer the same BIS with prepaid but it's a bit costly (around P1200 for 30 days). the good thing about it is that it will give you unlimited service. connection speeds is dependent on the time of the day.

to cut the story short, i'm enjoying each and every minute of it. won't trade this with an iPhone.

Connect your Curve 8310 to Desktop Manager and create a backup file of you contacts or everything you need. (Backup and Restore>Advanced)Once done, select the Switch Device, this will make it easier to transfer everything. Once it detects you old Curve, it'll tell you to connect the new device. Then it will copy everything to the new Curve. Once done, if you haven't done it already, login to the BIS website (if you have BIS)and somewhere it should say Switch Device also, this is so you can use your BIS with the new PIN. This sometimes is done by the carrier so I don't know if you got it working yet.
Also, if all you want is contacts, then try creating a backup of your contacts only with the Advanced Backup thing and when disconnect the old Curve. Then connect the new Curve and use Restore to add only the contacts data base. This should be a lot more simpler than I make it out to be. Hope this helps though!
