Hi all...please advice how can we view *.flv files on the blackberry 8900 or there is any real player software which can be installed in the blackberry.
I would also like to know if there is any way to password protect the contents in the memory card?

Very good phone but no 3G. i live in area where the signal is weak. Go for the bold 9700 instead.

I am not able to update my BB 8900 to device software 5.0. When I try to do it via desktop manager the same runs well but at the end says "running the latest available sotware" which is not true as mine is OS 4.6. Any clues? Thanks

Aamir, 02 Aug 2010 I just purchased BB 8900 & i found it absolutely fant... moreI totally agree with your statement. I to am a holder of said phone and I absolutly enjoy it and it's features. I must admit, I so far have not experience any problems with my phone(knock on wood). I would recommend this phone to anyone looking for a practical and affordable phone. Additionally, this phone has taking over the phone market in my country. In fact all government ministry in Trinidad and Tobago use the Blackberry 8900 as their corporate phone, which is given to their heads of Departments; just thought I'll mention that...well good nighy to all it's time to sleep!

falak merchant, 03 Aug 2010does the trackball stops functioning well after few months ...Clean the trackball with alcohol after every 15-20 days of use. The said problem will not reappear for sure. Best of luck.
