BlackBerry expands Hub+ app suite access to devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop

Himanshu, 09 September, 2016

If you recall, BlackBerry announced last month that it's making its Hub+ app suite available to all devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Now, the company has expanded the access to the suite, making it available to Android 5.0 Lollipop devices as well.

"We’ve officially expanded Hub+ access to smartphones running Android 5.0 Lollipop," the company said in a blog post. In addition, it was announced that the suite can now also be accessed through lower-resolution smartphones running Marshmallow - the list was limited by screen resolution earlier.

It's worth mentioning that only select apps - including the Hub, Calendar, and Password Keeper - were available to users when the Hub+ initiative was launched last month. But that has changed as well, as other Hub+ apps such as Contacts, Tasks, Device Search, Notes, and Launcher are now also accessible.

Good move by BB. Shame about the monthly subscription cost, though it makes sense. Still missing OS10 though :( Please release a worthy successor to the z10!
