BlackBerry lays off more employees; number undisclosed

Himanshu, 21 July, 2015

Nearly a couple of months after it announced job cuts worldwide, struggling BlackBerry has laid off more employees, although the exact number isn't yet known.

“As BlackBerry moves into the next stage of its turnaround, we remain focused on driving efficiencies across our global workforce,” said a company spokesperson. "As a result, some employees have been impacted."

This also comes just a few months after BlackBerry announced that it is mulling closing its offices in Sweden. The Canadian company had a total of 6,225 full-time employees as of February this year.
