2) A while back, BB adopted Android apps (though limited to the Amazon Appstore, I believe) in addition to the traditional BlackBerry World marketplace, so they have more apps than Windows Phone already.

It ain't strange at all that a company once in difficulties and having tried to much to remain in de flagship segment tries to "survive" in the "affordable" regions by producing phones that are a lot less expensive to produce while hoping to make some money out of it. Of course you can ask yourselves if the produced "cheeper" BB phones are what customers are waiting for. I think they need to think harder if they want to succeed in this strategy.
Microsoft has made the same "error" when they tried so hard to launch windows 7 trough premium and semi premium offerings (and failed).
Think about it. Android is only the leading OS beceause of the strategy of makers like Samsung who didn't focus only on high-end devices but flooded the market with more affordable or even cheep offerings. Should the addressed companies have focussed only on the premium market Android would probably even not exist anymore...
Bare in mind that only a manority of the buying masses is able to spend the required amount for a premium offering.

The only thing they need to do is get more apps developer so that BB OS can have as many apps as android or windows, because that's the only reason people tout the other OS(es) to be better than OS10

Why does balckberry keep coming out with these sub-par
phones? They want to stay in the game, but they wont make a flagship device that can compete with competitors. It"s just waste of time and money for them.

better softwear,n better camera.come to the looks Z3,y not change the shape as well.hope their camera will be better than Z3.Becouse Z3 camera is poor quality compared to Q5 and Q10.So lets hope their 8mp will be good.THANK YOU.

Blackberry need to combat the ignorance like seen on the comments here. e.g. need to use android or need modern OS. People still think they are using a Java based BB7. BB10 OS is a brilliant "modern" OS based around messaging. It has one the best implementations of on screen keyboard with probably THE best auto-correct. Only downside? The kids can't play as many games, although most of the major games are there on the amazon store.
The leap is an excellent budget business phone for people who want to save time, not waste time.

As for as the quality is concerned, BB is best but blackberry should move on to microsoft or andriod based OS to survive in the market, blackberry lovers are massive but users need modern OS too...
