Today the company says that it will be 2 years more support for BB10 and BBOS software.But for the application that you want,you could download the android version of the app ,on this site apkmirror.com.If you want all the app,it's better for you to buy a BB android device,like BB Keyone or BB Motion.

Anyone knows if the phone will still be usable in the coming years? I mean are there Social apps that would still be supported, aside from the productivity apps which I know would still run ok. Or are all productivity apps such as docs excel and slides will no longer get updates soon?

You can download whatever app of whatsapp there,but you should look on your phone if the app works perfectly.

Yes it's true.But you can download the FB and Whatsapp android versions on you phone,but you could lose any function.Try to download on apkmirror.com.

Cumi, 12 Nov 2017my passport has a bad camera...blurry and tried all options... moreTry with Open Camera, it's available on f-droid repository (www.f-droid.org). I've been using it for a while, imho it works much better than the native BB camera app.

BBfan, 18 Nov 2017is this still usable in 2017? thanks :)YMMV but in a nutshell - YES. While BBWorld is more or less dead you need to rely on Android apps for most purposes. I've been using Cobalt's apps but recently found on f-droid repository a very useful app (in fact it's a wrapper for all google services) that works surprisingly good. It's called GApps Browser. There is a similar solution (always on f-droid) for other web services called WebApps, try it!
