Got mine today and it heats up like a hot plate, that isn't right and isn't safe. I'm trying to return my mine with little success. Blackberry better prepare themselves for a lawsuit. I swear it's so hot, I can't hold it. Guess it will sit in its box until the end of time. It's a piece of crap. Beware. Hope no one gets hurt by this thing.

Dear Brokeasses,
This phone is targeted towards enterprise users. The class of people that can actually afford it. Also, RIM is aware that people would eventually start buying for 'class', the good thing is, the specifications are actually worth it and if it runs fine am sure BB would be back on top in the coming years.

Passport with all its pros and cons will definitely qualify for the consideration of all the consumers.but BB if you would have kept the price, around 35k rupees you would have won the game.

rms, 30 Sep 2014BlackBerry is making again the same mistake because of whic... moreI agree that price is more than what we were expecting. But that does not make this phone behind anything. So your points like weird shape, behind other OSs ( pray how! ) etc are invalid.
Agree that BlackBerry needs to sell BlackBerry 10 os phones in large numbers so that application developers take notice and develop more applications for the platform.

Think BB passport is a great smart-phone judging by the spec, if RIM in Motion want to win buyers back to buy this BB passport,a lower price tag should be considered. In a county like Nigeria that almost everybody uses more than one phone n there's bbm on android n ios now, there won't be any needs to get a BB passport expect the price is lower that other smart-phones. So I suggested that your selling price shouldn't be more that 50k Naira in Nigeria and you will have huge market sales here. Trust me. Because BB was our 1st loved for smart-phones!

BlackBerry is making again the same mistake because of which they had a lot of problems, selling very expensive phones. Yes, indeed BlackBerry Passport is a capable smartphone, with high-end specs but this does not mean they can ask for the same price as the actual leaders in the industry. The phone looks weird though, they are still behind android and ios, lost much of the confidence they used to have, people are reluctant so I think is better to maintain lower prices to be able to compete. Lately the situation has improved because their phones got very good discounts being more competitive so this is the road they should follow in my opinion.

AnonD-78239, 29 Sep 2014Awesome pcs of hardware.but I think now BlackBerry should s... moreDefinently not. I'm an Android user (who've tried iOS) and I'm really looking forward to something else. The fact that BlackBerry doesn't produce Android phones, but keeps Android compatibility, is a big plus for me.

Hi Blackberry Authorities.....I have been desperately waiting for this phone and have been managing with the Blackberry Curve as I only use Blackberry. However, specifications and looks are brilliant and certainly looks like a super phone to me. Having said that, I would not shy away from saying that it is over priced. I would say it should not be more than 40K or if not less. You plan a comeback in the market, we all professionals in India welcome you with your phone but Why will someone spend 50K on blackberry and not buy a ios or android for that matter which are compatible and universally acceptable to global mobile application. The only reason, I will go for this phone even if it is for 50K is because of the manual keypad as I hate touch phones, reason if you are having some Indian curry with your drinks in your car, becomes impossible to touch the screen and answer a call....:p Sorry to be humorous on this forum, but for your survival sake, reconsider the price or you are inviting your failure again and may be complete shut down even if you hire a Nassa Scientist as your next CEO.......Cheers!
Look forward to your response and revised deal for the passport......
