Appler, 23 Sep 2014I think it is pretty good in hardware and appearance. But ... moreBB10 can run Android (apk) files/programs. Apple can only run Apple programs (uvm). So, BlackBerry can actually now run more a significant number of programs than the initial 70,000 when BB10 started. Android programs can be edited so they are tailored specifically to the device they are being used - aka the screen display and aspect ratio. Receiving my Passport October 1st :) Build, Race - and of course Win!!

looks like a nokia x2. whats wrong with this company? what did their design guy resign while still throwin ideas around? and they picked the ugliest one out of all the form factors? no wonder I cant be cought dead with stuff like this thing they made. good luck to them coz they'll seriously need it.

I agree with u, if possible they should do two phones with the same specs and features but with different internet subscription pattern(BIS and normal data plan MB) and see which one sells fast and more. As for me am still gonna hold on to my BB bold 5. Blackberry will sell more mobile phones if only they will change their Data system. Atleast always bring out 2 types of same phone to test which will sell more.

Black so good and am loving it, but blackberry will continue to have low sales of their new mobiles until they return to their BIS plan for all mobile and forget about this android OS.

Finally, I really hope BB can sell this phone to a lot of people who went to android, so they can experience a good secure OS and some nice Enterprise solutions. BB and WP are so much better than android. This phones has the looks, the unique design, the good specs and the BB OS which is good. Plus it has a very appealing and established brand name.

I contacted Blackberry 3 years ago about creating a dual-purpose work/personal multi-tasking operating system with a firewall between work and personal and the ability to run another OS such as Android on the personal side which would instantly make all Android Apps available and maintain their phones' usefulness even if they go out of business, particularly the hardware/phone business. They did the work/personal but not the alternative OS. If Blackberry had enabled Android to run on the personal side, I would buy a Passport but because Blackberry is still at high risk of going out of business, I won't.
