The beautiful PRIV could have become a useful device if AT LEAST the software was functional. But it isn't. It doesn't have multi window or basic split screen mode. It doesn't even have a single handed mode! Without these functions, what use has such a big screen (well, back then I found it to be gigantic) other than consuming modern films or video games? If the latter was the purpose, there are much better devices for that.
Then, this device overheats constantly. And the build quality is very low, so it's not a product to last despite its hefty price tag. If, in addition to functional software, the material quality wasn't so bad, the PRIV would have become a very good device.
And in addition to all of that, if the PRIV didn't lack the optical trackpoint, it would have been very best smartphone on the market. Too bad BB didn't care.

I really wish they could come back. As Huawei does, Make Blackberry OS phones, with Android Apps Capability. Blackberry is One of the best phones ever used. Unique and Stylish. You could tell ur character through them. Now, all the mobiles looks the same. Huawei was one the less crasing ones, but they removed google services. Still uses a Huawei. Iphone is a waste of money.

Loved the design of this phone, big curved screen with keyboard and front speaker. Here's hoping Priv 2 should launch with upgraded hardware and software with the design remaining the same. This is by far the best looking phone I ever had, pretty unique too.

I'm still loving the design of this phone as you don't need to have the keyboard all the time. If BlackBerry stayed around and make a second-gen model the following year with Snapdragon 820 or 821, it'd be an epic phone.

Best phone I ever had. The LEAP runs Android and comes with BB security. Too bad BB is moving out of the phone market. No much options on the market today. Apple or Android. All cost $$$
Hope the customers are happy to pay the premium and get less options...
