I owned the Priv for one week, here is my review:
This is not you, the legend giant BlackBerry
Yes!
My expectations were much higher than this, BlackBerry.
I just expected this phone to be mine for years
From the first day I received this, The iceberg of problems started to appear.
when I installed all my apps, an error message pop out the screen after few seconds. I called the support center and they failed to resolve this issue, but they finally asked me to do factory reset. I did that 3 times but the problem was still there.
Later, the support team handled my case to the "Escalation Department'', and I'm still waiting till this moment for them. Unfortunately, no one contacted me after they promised to call back. However, I was able to temporally to fix this problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the BlackBerry Services app. So, I just discovered that this problem is caused by the buggy BlackBerry software. Once I integrate any email client to the hub, the problems come back again.
The hub is so bad compared to the one on BB10. I can't integrate Whatsapp, Instagram ,,... etc.
The hub also doesn't show the notification till I manually open it, so this makes it so useless to me.
The build quality is not the real well-known BlackBerry quality at all. It is all plastic in everywhere, even the screen is made of plastic. The back cover wobbling and flexing like a sponge. Also, there is a clicking sound when I type on the scree, I feel the two pieces of the phone are not attached well to each other. the camera lens cover is so scratch-able. Don't put the phone in with any keys or metal material in your pocket.
The QWERTY keyboard like it is not made BlackBerry.. It is flat with small buttons, but it does relatively well.
I was expecting the best touch keyboard in the world.. Because my Z10 has the best one. Unfortunately, I'm being disappointed again; The international switch language is missing here. You need to do that from the setting key on the right lower corner, which took more time to switch between two language, and there is a lag from between switching.
The external speaker does really well but the pores on it is "Dust Collector". You can see this after few days of usage.
Handset volume output is average.. It is not the sound quality of BlackBerry in Z10 or Passport.
The screen is excellent with vivid colors and stunning saturation. But the plastic material makes it feel cheap when you touch it.
Back camera is very good, and it is the best camera on BlackBerry phone to date. However, It is not that great compared to Galaxy or iPhone.
Front-facing camera isn't good by any means. Low light imaging is terrible.
Call quality and reception was amazing, but sometimes the phone has unstable bluetooth connection while I was connecting with my wireless handset.
Phone is heavy, but it feels good in hand. It also feel thin
All in all, my expectation was much higher than this. BlackBerry didn't make a good Android phone. The software is terrible like a bugs mine field.
BlackBerry U can do better!
Please, I wrote too much here with full honesty and spent lots of time... Give me a credit by not bashing me.
Thank you

AnonD-8044, 20 Nov 2015Interesting did not know that. I have just bought my mat... moreHaha I feel you. If you work out, the Classic sounds great and feels good on your hand. Also music keys make it easy to play music without getting your sweaty grimy fingers on the touch screen hehe. I want the Priv but yeah its very expensive. Classic, Z10, and Z30 are each a perfect size! I am scared to install Play Store on the Classic.. I worry I might brick it or damage its software, otherwise the apps on BB World are sufficient to me

I have just bought my mates BB Classic off him and he is buying Priv. The Priv is very expensive ATM but I will buy his Priv off him when he buys next BB. I hop BB survive because they are only smartphones keeping real qwerty keyboards plus I support Sony for giving folk full powered smartphones in phone sized form factor.
Meanwhile I am having fun of getting playstore on Classic then away I go and see how long I last, it is chunky device that great to hold in hand.

AnonD-8044, 19 Nov 2015Yes you could be right maybe Dolby etc was used in Q10 and ... moreI figure that too. Come to think of it, Blackberry got in trouble back in the Blackberry Torch days. The newer models (at the time) like the Bold and Torch had secretly Dolby Surround sound installed in the music player by Blackberry. Once Dolby found out, they sued Blackberry.

This is a great phone and I am so happy for the return of the keyboard to the smartphone. Tired of reading all these people who are telling me why I shouldn't have one. I want a keyboard and now I have one, along with a kickass android phone. Thank you Blackberry!

It says it has an expandable memory up to 200gb... Don't you mean 256gb (32, 64, 128, 256, etc)... or do you mean 2Tb, which is what the latest Microsoft Lumia devices can expand up to (even though there's no such microsd card that's affordable with that capacity in the market place yet)...

Amazing phone. I've owned this phone since the release date. Switched from a galaxy s6 and not looking back. Physical and fantastic virtual keyboard. Great battery life. Increased productivity thanks to the Hub. Beautiful hardware. Very fast. Enhanced security thanks to Dtek. Best Android phone by far!
