good points for anyone that's used a blackberry before on the 8XXX or 9XXX range this one runs blackberry 10 and supports skype and kik so you can use it not just for business emails but also to chat to your friends when your not at work also with blackberry 10 you no longer need a BIS (Blackberry data plan) this will work on a normal plan from any network provider.
the only thing i'm disappointed with is after the facebook app update in may 2016 it now go's to the site instead of the app and as everyone knows using the site ver is full of ad's and not very data friendly other than that its a good phone

seems like after 31st December most of the software wont work, already facebook turned off, whatsapp will be turned off, then whats the use of it ???

I tried to install APK watts-app of Android, and it worked.
But for watts-app only there is a small problem, I cant send pictures or attachments.
So I am using BB World version until the genius bros in India find a solution for this problem :D

When I'm in a hurry, I use my BB Q5 to make quick phone calls, any texting, e-mailing, internet search...etc.
I use the android device for Facebook Messenger, SOMA, Line and other communications apps, as well as multimedia entertainment.
But the truth is that BB Q5 is more effecient than Android, it seldom hangs, It never counts on dummy dump memory files.
If you need an extra android device, go for Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen / Moto G4 or Lenovo (Rebadged Moto) which offers good prices, Or LG G3 / G4.
The best android experience is available at Nexus devices which support pure android.

deepu, 26 Mar 2016my phn is bb q5 since 2 days its turning off automatically ... moreI had similar battery problems too,a situation whereby my Q5 turns off immediately the battery gets to between 40-30%,I didnt do nothing to solve dis problem bt eventually,as time went by it came to normal,and now it turns off at exactly 0-1%.
