this phone is extremeLy dissapointig.
the screen freezes everytime i'm typing a sms, it restarts itseLf whiLe phoning, it Loses signaL everytime, the battery Lasts for 3 hours of taLking. it takes you 5 minutes to start the phone again, internet works extremLy sLow, even in 3g.
sms-writing is extremeLy sLow and compLicated, it hasn't even got :ö ä ü or other.
screenLock doesn't work, if i tap on the screen it unLocks itseLf, so it phones every person in my phoneList
going back to every other phone, never again bb

This phone has really disappointed me it freezes often, gtalk wont run, yahoo messenger wont run...generally its kind of dissappointed me i never expected it to perform like this..looses network when restarted. Going back to the iphone 3gs....

it's really a nice phone. i like the screen and response to torch but it does not have WiFi. really not good for such phone

I just bought a Storm 9500 last week. The calender is excellent and the battery lasts longer than I expected. Generally a good smart phone, except for apps which you have to download only by a mobile browser.

Regarding another opinion presented by a user/reviewer and WIFI issues -
I honestly see no need for WIFI when the network provided seems to be adequate enough. I have owned a Storm since it was released on Verizon in November of 2008 and never once have I thought about needing a WIFI connection. Friends with Iphones and other smartphones with WIFI capabilities used this type of service because of lack of network available to them in particular areas. Having Verizon's network, there really is no shortage of coverage...therefore, never really an issue with internet connectivity.

I have tried asking in answers.yahoo.com, forums, but to no fruit. I have decided to get myself another phone, never a touchscreen from RIM. Several other touchscreen users had the same problem, so says my expert in fixing mobile phones. Touchscreens from 9500 [the first by RIM] i bet need more research. RIM phones using normal keypads are the best phones the world can give.
