Whenever I try and download the items mentioned it fails for all manner of reaso s. App s world will not run. I spend half my time online looking for fixes, none of which help. What u can do about that is to aet the time on Network time instead of Blackberry time by clicking on the Menu / option / date/time and then u'll probably solve the problem . Hope that'll help ... Cheers !!

biggest piece of crap ever. DO not buy this phone. It freezes, the battery life is ppor, when taking a photo is freezes, the reception is aboslute crap, it doesnt recpe anywhere, you have to press so hard to even type a msg, its so not user friendly. I would chuck this phone, easy, if i didnt get it on a plan. big mistake.

Just downloaded software update. Had version 4.7 now have version 5.0. Noticeable improvements on the scrolloing screen, now slick & smooth, no lagging. When replying to text, no longer need to select reply, the screen shows text box for replying when reading sender text. Emocons have been added as before there were none. Ok, most phones have these already but it is a positive improvement by BB however late they may be. Lots of other minor changes for the better. A lot happier with my Storm, was considereing a change of handset which had a physical keyboard but not for me. Touchscreen is way forward with any brand of phone!

To AJR,
Because even though they use the same battery the different handsets might use different amounts of energy.
For example, the storm's touch facility might use more battery than the curve.

The reason the talk time/standby time of the storm is less than the curve, despite using the same battery is because the Storm is running more. A bigger, brighter touch-screen saps a lot more battery life than a smaller standard screen.

how can people say that the bb curve 8900 have a better battery life than the bb storm 9500...when they both use the same battery???

This phone looks good and beautiful but the only setback is in the battery life. It has a low battery life, requires charging everyday and all time.
