I've been using the phone for well over three months, at first it was a bit annoying but the fact is that this phone isn't meant for the average phone user, it's kinda a geeky phone which suits me just fine.
All the complaints about the short battery life and slow response and whatever are from users who haven't really got time to learn how to use the phone, they always end up comparing it to other touch screen phones most of which i have used so i can understand their frustration when simple things done with the iphone or 5800 seems like an uphill task for the storm, however like i said before it just takes a little bit of getting used to.
I wouldn't recommend it for the average phone user or even to previous black berry users because its not exactly like all other blackberries, but for the technologically curious and adventurous phone users i say go bet yourself one, its a COOL phone.

I really do wonder about those who are charged with marketing at RIM. They clearly know little and do a poor job. With that iphone thing taking all the news, RIM need to keep the profile up on the Storm 2 to prevent purchasers migrating to Apple. This, of course will be the tendency anyway given the poor performance of Storm 1 and little sign that change of significance is in prospect with Storm 2. Notice how quiet it has gone of late on Storm 2? Notice also the very poor average scores this phone attracts on this cite. Ask yourself why before you contemplate a purchase.

4 handles emails well
5 it's being replaced
BAD points:
1 Hopeless camera.
2 Slow and laggy

I have my storm for like a month?
i agree to most pp that wi-fi might be a turn off for this phone. however, most BB user tend to sign up for an internet plan, for email , BB pin. so no matter with or without wi-fi is the same?
freeze? never happen so far
slow ? not really quite fast
Sounds ? good quality of sounds
Picture ? agree with most pp, if u are lookin for a photo shoot u must else get a digital camera.
and i find it easier to type than iphone.
before i purchase this phone, i did do a research , and i knew most of the feedbk was negative. however i take a risk , and never regret buying it. it a great phone though , but u jus need some patient to get use to the function. ! and yet the Video thingy is great !
