RT, 26 Mar 2009Hi!am a loyal nokia phone and i-touch music player user...b... moreI am also a Nokia fan but I got the Storm as i'm more into organising/contacts/calendar, etc. The Storm suits me obviously. If you want the eye candy, 'hey look at my latest phone' scenario, then go for what is popular. I know the latest Nokia batteries are a big let down and the users that I know are gutted of this. They also hate to admit it that they feel let down. Like i said previusly, do a lot of research, video downloads & importantly, get a hands on onto a phone at a phone store but dont get pushed into a particular handset. I'm on a contract phone, email, browser is ACE!! Even without WI-FI, downloads are really good. Yes, I went into a Vodafone store, that was my choice, however, make sure you know what you want. If in doubt, go for what you know.

blackberry you should have put a wifi in this phone,
could have been the best today.
not all countries has a good 3g networks that is why wifi is important. if i move to asian countiries 3g is not that good. only in europe and america can stand a no wifi. but not in middle east and asia.
if you put a wifi to this phone, it could have been the best today and i can say the most complete phone today.

You can improve the click on the screen hugely by folding a piece of paper and putting it under the battery.

the phone is awesome... no wifi but that shud not matter if you got good data connection.. only hits when u wanna download huge files.. so if you aint got a good data connection in your country then this phone is not for you. the sureread feature is good. first of its kind.. total touch screen experience.. i prefer it to the iphone 3g and omnia.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Well, to be honest.
I have compared, between Javelin's Wi fi with storm 3G.
And the result in my country, Storm wuth only 3G a little bit faster than wi fi Javeln.
So no wi fi, who cares???
I have paid the BIS, and i must depend in wi fi.
That is sucks.

Who cares that phones dont come with WiFi these days.....you have unlimited data with your carrier anyway.....which means you can go on the internet as much as you want whenever you want.

Had the 9500 for 3 months now and it is good. I do think that when people give negative opinions, it is always compared to other certain phones. Granted, BlackBerry isn't for everyone but if you are seriously considering in getting one, do lots of research and video downloads such as the phone website or Youtube to view demos. This goes for any brand of phone. The touchscreen is different but works well. The video does sometimes freeze, I think this has to be improved somewhat! Picture quality is very good, if you want better, get a proper camera! Text & email is awesome as expected, hey, that's what the device is all about. Choice of settings are good. Battery power is very good, however, after finished with web browser, select close or it will run in background and you'll have to recharge on day 1! Top tip, use the magnetic holster that comes in the box, battery power WILL last at least 4 days on minimum usage. Not bad considering what packed into the phone. I still haven't got the hang of the Suretype(there is an option to multitap just like candybar phones) but I do prefer to orientate the phone landscape to view the qwerty keyboard. If anyone would like to ask me about the phone, feel free. It is a quality device but it's not like the certain brands that are have to be seen with, you know what I mean. 95, 96, pods users, get over yourselves.
