I hoped this could become a competition... morehey you cant get every thing on a golden plate. if you want bigger storage purchase a memory card. i did not here you mention the benifits bb has to offer on bis or bes. the omnia does not have push email, the experia does not have push email niether does the htc touch. the black berry stays connected to the internet the entire day and the email is almost real time. i was in bb training i work for an sp so i must tell you all this phone is awesome. you guys just want to complain all the time (read a book if you are bored)

Oh, one other thing. Being able to globally set font and size is amazing. Awesome font control.

Other comment. Make sure and compare Sprint and Verizon. Sprint has some nice media bundles, qnd GPS may be part of their bundle.
The big screen is the big selling point. Makes it very good for web browsing.
VZW coverage and data network are great. CPU feels quick. And having a CDMA+GSM phone is cool.
For me the BOLD will be easier for texting. But it is a different animal. Just wanted to mention it for people on non-CDMA carriers.

try searching harder about its text messaging first before you pretend you know well about it so you wont give people wrong reviews. you just used it and found out its hard to text and really never tried searching what it can do didnt you? poor guy...
storm has a very nice and easy text messaging than any blackberry...

If you want to be on Verizon... then not a bad phone. Light years ahead of some of the stuff they used to sell. Coverage and data performance are excellent. So in the big picture, it's a good, solid choice. For people who text much, the BB Curve is a better choice though. But it is kind of amazing that VZW has the Storm i.e. a cdma/gsm touchscreen worldphone, at this point.
Screen real estate is good. You can view most websites pretty well. The ICON desktop navigation is super easy. The BlackBerry Internet Server mail integration is nice. In general, a nice phone. The feature set is actually quite good. VZW has an excellent data network.
Negatives: 1) position-cursor-in-text-box difficult 2) sure-type hard to defeat 3) no shift-lock or num-lock 4) VZW charges to use the GPS 5) no flash support 6) no silverlight streaming video support 7) the camera is truly awful.
The upcoming Blackberry BOLD will correct most of these problems. No gsm, but the keyboard makes all the difference.

somebody know how activate call waiting on the storm 9530 because i use my on gsm carrier and my storm dosen´t have call waiting option. it´s possible.? i take off my sim card put on my curve 8900 or my iphone and i got call waiting option on menu. please help me

blackberry storm has very good text messaging.
alot complains about typing on keyboard is hard to edit,
but if you discover how, its the easiest touchscreen keyboard evermade.
it has something that not everyone knows when typing an sms when want to edit wrong typing text.. very easy..
this phone is the best today.
i have the iphone 3G but i also really want to have this storm..
its a great phone.

First I dont want a toy but there is no way you can deny that a phone with WIFI would have a great advantage. Don't you think? And it could save a lot of money.

People as mentioned before, Get A Grip!.
First of all This a BlackBerry therefore not a TOY.
The iPhone is a Toy. You want toys and WiFi by all means get the iPhone and quit asking obnoxious questions.
This phone is really intended for the business person, eMail and things of that nature.
9500 Storm Primarily GSM designed for Vodafone and the 9530 Storm Primarily CDMA with GSM Capabilities for those who want to unlock or use worldwide.
Now that we have this clear children, MP3 players and camera and all those other gadgets that I too enjoy are merely an added Bonus.
For those who keep asking about T-Mobile usage. Both are fully capable of using every feature with the exception of 3G speeeds. Not going to happen
So with all that being sad there is no comparison of this and the iPhone when they are 2 different worlds.
Kids and Adults.
Bite the bullet switch carrier and take full advantage of the phone or unlock one as I did keep using T-Mobile or AT&T without 3G and quit crying!

i do not agree with the function of WIFI when you have BIS activated on your strom. Why you need WIFI its superb bb
