Here in south africa you can get an unlimited email and on-device internet plan for R60 per month which is about us$7.50. Once you have this why do you need wifi???? Surely you can get similar plans elsewhere ?

anish, 27 Aug 2009i have bought the 9630 from verizon wireless and i have bro... moreall u need to do ref removing activation required is to dial ##000000. afterwards u shd look for where to put ur mobile no on d page that wud open up den save. ur bb wud restart and activation required wud not b there again. u can holla me on cutetoksyb@yahoo.com. i used d bb tour too

This phone is awesome!! I have it with Sprint. I love the fact that you can go from CDMA to GSM so quickly!!! It comes unlocked for USA GSM, right out the box. I have a T-Mobile Sim, so I can talk to my friends unlimited on T-Mobile.
The camera takes great pictures, and I love the fact that there is no Sprint Picture Mail on this device. It have true MMS.
I think the battery life is pretty darn good. I love the emailing and text features. This phone is just all around great!!
I just wish it came with more built-in themes.

i have bought the 9630 from verizon wireless and i have brought the fone to india, the first thing on the screen is activation requires(what is this and how to go about it?), i am not able to answer any kind of call waiting, if i answer a call waiting on my fone the running call gets disconnetcted, i am not able to make conference calls. i dont have call forwarding in this fone!!! strange do any of you have experienced this

Is this a dual card phone? or you have to choose CDMA or GSM?
If it's dual? is it both on at the same time or do i need to do a reset to change in between cards? (which means I can only receive call from 1 card that is set to on)

wifi is needed when you are roaming :)
but if you always stay in your country then no need of wifi

1 more thing...and to all that anyone argues about wifi...you want wifi? buy nokia! BlackBerry user hardly even use the wifi...nobody bought BlackBerry that doesnt have data plan...it's a business phone not just some gimmick cool looking phone

Its for money making purposes.Thats the reason why it doesnt have wifi. So the service provider can make money on the person having a data plan!
So for all you cheapies who NEEEED WIFI. Just get a better job and get ultd data. Problem Solved!!

Anyone know if the Tour is gonna be released in UK. I have a 8900 but miss the 3G. Hope it does get released, never feel comfortable spending £££ for a phone on the internet.
