most companies in the world never gives the best they can on the next step of their product..
        i do not understand..
i think you should give all the best on your next product to increase your market amount then with the money you earn you can use it for the next product to improve it with the new technology..

Its a marketing ploy - obviously over produced the 8900 and need to move stock. Losing credibility - absolute disgrace if you ask me - they desreve lashings for this rediculous model.

why does rim cannot make all their phones a 3G-wifi enabled!! blackberrys are suppose to be a smartphone and they are expensive phones!! but their phones are missing 1 or 2 features every time!!!
this is just a curve with a 3G network but without a wifi!!!

If you are a real Blackberry user (either a Business user or a consumer looking for data/email on the move) then the lack of WiFi shouldnt be an issue. If you're in an area where you pick up decent 3G signal I find this more than satisfactory for any task I can throw at my Bold. And lets be honest, the whole point of a Blackberry is to turn your downtime into uptime and to be mobile, if you're stuck somewhere using WiFi, you've really defeated the point of this otherwise lovely device. By the way, dont work for Blackberry, just love 'em!

This phone was rumored to get an optical pab, to replace the trackball, I guess that didn't work out. Anyways this is kind of like a blackberry for someone who really needs just a good standard communicator with a few high end features. Personally I think the 8900 Curve is better, and its got Wi-Fi.

BB needs to get their act together. Look at specs of Nokia E72,beats BB in all department. The most important being the camera & battery..
