Hey guys i want to know that the manifacturer warranty of this product is 1 year but it us already manufactured in june 2013, so does that mean it will expire in june 2014 and the main point is i bought it from flipkart few days back, so does its warranty counts from the day of manufacture or when i bought it. Aslo there is not any warranty provided, if i opt to take to the service centre what should i tell them about my purchase?
I am really in a mess. Help me out please.
Thanx is advance.

rahul, 03 Apr 2014I have purchased new bb z 10. Since bb maps dont work here ... moreGoogle Maps works on it. What doesn't work is you can't login.
Get the older version from net(Google which works best) and you are good to go with it. Even voice navigation and offline map works.

If you want alternative, download Mireo Don't Panic and download specific country maps and they are very good for navigation purposes too.

Those who want to check their chipset type can install BG shell from BB World and type "uname -a", if its an ST100-1 the name OMAP4470 should show up somewhere in there. GPU is PowerVR SGX 544.

richard, 03 Apr 2014we have just had an NZD$600 price reduction on these phones... moreBy the way, are those the LTE enabled Z10? Mine is the ST100-1, non LTE, it has a TI OMAP chipset unlike the Qualcomm in the LTE version. I think BB should have been clear on this, and even here on GSMArene the specs doesnt tell us that there are different chipsets, it does for the Q10 though.

Strange actually that they sell the non-lte versions here, Samsung and Sony and so on sells mostly LTE versions since LTE been around here for quite some time (very limited coverage though, up until now only in the capital region).

Actually i like the 3G version except for the slower chipset (still fast though) since the LTE version does not support 1900 MHz 3G/HSDPA, which is in use on the two biggest carrier networks here. Also there is no LTE coverage where i am 99% of the time anyway and HSDPA is not that much slower and LTE cost more to use.

Some battery advice, for phones in general.. As we know, Li-ion batteries degrade fast, after only 300 charge/discharge cycles they will have less than 80% of its original capacity left but if you know what is causing this degradation you can do some simple steps to avoid it and make it last 6,000 cycles before it has lost 20%.

The main strain on li-ion batteries come from being charged full and being fully discharged. Now its hard for lots of people to not charge the battery full so the easiest way to make your battery have a long life is to always charge before its empty, already at 40% you should charge. One could also set a timer to tell you when to stop charging, the Z10 charger takes almost 25 minutes to charge 20%, so if your battery is at 40% and you want to charge it to 80% you can set the timer to 45 to 50 minutes. 80 is already a high charge and you should not go above that, its the point where the charging stops using constant current and starts to raise the voltage, for Z10 that voltage is high, 4.35 volts. The charge voltage increase at around 80% is also why some iPhone cases with built in power bank stops charging at 80%.

If you want to be more practical and continue to charge the phone full, just dont let it go much below 40%, that alone will substantially help the battery's life span, thats the easy part. A cheap power bank is very helpful, just a small top up now and then to avoid the worst damage.

Those who carry spare batteries, if its not being used often you should not leave it in the wallet/bag with full charge, batteries being stored should be only 50-60% charged, you could probably go up to 80 without serious damage though.

According to me there is not much difference etween these two phone, OS is same..
difference is Z10 doesnt have FM radio, 5 " screen & two speakers, and antenna, ( which works in low frequency area, to get better signal ) I would souggest Z 10 is best because is half price of Z 30 & it also fits in pocket :)

Users can run and install Android applications on BlackBerry 10, including popular apps such as Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Netflix and Vine. As of the latest Operating System available (OS 10.2.1), users are able to download and install Android apps from the Google Play store directly to their BlackBerry 10 devices using Snap[24] or Droid Store.[25] The Amazon App Store is another source which can be used to download applications, and the entire process can be performed directly on the phone without sideloading.[1] Compatibility and operation of Android applications has been updated in the 10.2 Operating System update with the 4.2.2 Jellybean runtime

hey guys, so I recently buy this phone z10 (just 1hour ago) and the OS 10.2.0

my question is, which BB OS that can support installing android apps? can my OS10.2.0 do that or I need to perform an update?

it looks like I've got a notification to update my device (but it needs to download 1GB data, so I postponed it)

                                  thanks in advance guys.

Users say, its better to go with Z30 or other phone instead of opting for Z10. Can any1 tell me in detail about the most best features which would tempt any1 to buy this phone. Thanks in advance.
