Bought this today in Manila and love it, was gonna get xperia Z1 Compact, great phone but am tired of googles crap now. I dont regret going blackberry for a second, great performance, beautiful phone, display is as good as Z1C and ppi is even higher. My first BB ever and loving everything about it.

I have purchased z10 from authorized bb store and my model number is stl100-1 but mapmyindia is not working it is showing that licensed expired. Please advice.

You do not required BIS any more, you can use BBM, email and other social apps etc on your internet plan. which can 2G or 3G. (Like other andriod and IOS phone works)
no more BIS plan required for blackberry 10 phones

jack, 26 Mar 2014does it take 3 hours to charge z10 ?if you use a high amp output (1.2 A+) charger the phone wil charge from 0% to full within 2 hours when left idle (ie not running any apps and screen off)

blackberry has always been pro-reception for cellphone signals. so if you are in a poor reception area, the radio will get power boost to maintain cell connection. this will be the main cause of drain for most people if they have poor access to radio towers.
as for latest 10.2.1.2102 update on phone, BB has optimised the OS code to be very light weight and for me and usage (7 am till 10 pm) i am usually left with 45% left on the battery life. for those with heavier usage expect to charge around after 8 hours of normal smart phone usage (hub syncing, calls messaging, 30 mins of gaming, web browsing). As usual, your mileage will vary because not everyone uses smartphone the same way. for heaavier users, at least you can buy spare battery and replace when you need it or buy a high amperage fast charger to keep your battery juiced.

Nele21, 27 Mar 2014How do we sideload android apps in RSA on the Z10 I wanna g... moregoogle a sideloading app for your pc called "sachesi." most likely it will bring you to the crackkberry website forum. install the app and then go find a BAR file called "snap." snap will sync to your google account and allow you access to download from the googleplay store. Not all apps will work, namely the ones that integrate into the google play store. But for all other apps it will work as if you are running an android phone.

The blackberry Z10 on ebay is IMPORTED and with sellers warranty for Software only, if there is problem with other things of the phone, I doubt they would honour it.
The price in Retail would be very high, so have to be sure what you buy and where from

Is there any other way of downloading android apps? I tried 1mobile market also but most of the apps dont work after downloading.
