In what world you are living, viber is available for BB.
The problem with BB, it's appstore is a big joke.
Nothing compared to Apple or Android's play store

AnonD-86233, 26 Jul 2013Please do not compare Blackberry 10 with Android or IOS, ar... more1st you tell people to not compare, and then you go on to do exactly that, and then you mistakenly point that BlackBerry 10 is for entertainment, well it is not, it was developed as a robust communications platform, however they also added the features of android and IOS as the scrolling and the gestures, when you add that user interface you open the gate for entertainment, but the OS itself is robust for communications and security, thus making it extremely appealing to people who just want something very reliable.
then you proceed to point "Android is focused on trash and then make phone calls", well android was developed as a fully customizable OS, thus making it appealing to people who enjoy programing their own devices, for these kind of people security comes later since what they really want is to hack and make their device do whatever they want that was not initially intended by the maker like remote controlling a toy helicopter, or overcome the security of a router's wifi using the phone.
on the other end, IOS was actually developed for entertainment, when it was first presented it was actually and ipod OS then upgraded to support connectivity, thus making it very reliable for resources management, this is why IOS usually runs faster and smoother with less requirements than android.
now, if you just want a phone for communication, get any, just keep in mind you are the user so get the one you feel good about; if you want a phone that is closed and has great security and reliability on data management get a blackberry, if you want a phone to keep media, mix media, and surf on the internet a little, get an iphone; if you want a phone that you can turn upside-down push to its limits, don't care about security (cause you probably are good on coding) then get an android.
i really don't comment on windows phone, so far i know is reliable and secure, but still has a long way to go since its not so massive, so there isn't as many people trying to hack it and test its vulnerabilities, i know the tools it has are reliable, and works very well for the average joe.
i myself am android user, and find your lack of knowledge, a little bit worse than insulting..
            .. for you that is.
next time you try to troll or insult a thing, a user or whatever, please do it with "property", meanwhile go and learn, then if you want to post again please read before you click "submit", it is the people like you, the ones that give the blackberry community the reputation of boring and ignorant about other devices and software development, i for one praise their strong work on data and security management, while not being perfect it is quite good, and have made a great work with BB10 allowing the programing of games and other heavy applications.

on another note, for those of you who wonder whether this or keep the 9900, i would go for the z10, the simple reason is the battery life, z10 can stay on sync all day and it wont die on you, the 9900 drains the battery too fast, also the z10 has better data handling than the 9900 due to the way it syncs with your mail and chat apps.

I think your device is STL100-1. For that I think 10.1 is due to be rolled out. May be later you may like to install leaked 10.2 when its available without bugs as I think its not going to be released for your version.
