mink, 05 Mar 2013i am not talking only for skype here some reasons it is not... more1. You can't compare hardware cross-platform. There's a reason why S2 is slower in terms of real life performance.
2. You said so yourself.. they'll be available very soon.
3. Who actually uses that with the advent of internet radio...?
4. New release, of course it's high. Wait a bit then.
5. Check the endurance rating on GSM Arena. The battery life was rated higher than the One X+ and Lumia 920 and bested by only the S3 and Iphone 5 flagships. Not to mention GSMArena tested the battery before the battery update which has people seeing improved battery life in terms of hours, which is very impressive.
6. Not everyone wants a massive phone.
7. Many bugs are being fixed and BB has shown their ability to ship updates FAST unlike Android.
8. Will change with time.

The screen size now is getting bigger not due to what the convenience for people, but just a trend of smartphone. I do not agree that nowadays smartphone min requirement is to be 4.5" above, it's only reflect back to what you need and what you want.
For instant, if the trend goes this way for another 10 years, would you tell me that a standard size for smartphone 10 years later is min 8" or 10" above? That sound turn off for me, seriously.

Im not trying to talk bad about the z10, i just find it funny on the majority of the reviews and ratings from consumers are by people that had blackberry phones that had no features and nothing to par with the technology from the past 2 years. So its only obvious that they think the z10 is a product sent down from baby jesus.

Just got out of the telus customer reviews for the z10 and its really funny how the ratings are 5 star from the users. Almost every peoson that left a rating and comment stated that there previous phone was the blackberry 9700 or 9900....And they are saying that the z10 is the best phone on the market, that its so amazing bla bla bla. These users came from phones that have been 5 years out dated and now there giving there advise on how innovative the z10 is. Make a s3 of iphone 5 user try a z10 and see how innovative he will say it is.....

Hi I had a look at it and the same time had a look at S3 and Sg Note 2 ... I am sorry to say that the Samsung phones are better in clarity battery and even the software .. here we are talking about a min of 4.5 " displays taken out by most manufacturers but Bb has come out with 4.2" displays ... S4 going to be launched coming with most probably 5" didplay ... wake up BB to Reality before you are swallowed with the Competition ....

Z10 is exceptional from Blackberry- with the best security available thru the BB system. Yes your service provider may have some security, but only BB has the best over all. I also have the playbook for the same reason. Safe in airports or while using wifii -no one can hack into mine BB. The Z10 touch screen is fast, sleek and easy on eyes. Camera is great for conference calls able to see each other and much more.
A A plus over everything not Blackberry made.

1-phone hardware not up to date. its only dual core but agree 2gb ram. you can get same processor and speed in samsung s2 which cost is half of bb.
2.whats app and skype not available now. bb is saying they will available next couple of months. but skype run on bb'emulator not will be native application.
3 no radio
4 price is too high
5 battery not up to mark only 1800 mah
6 screen size is 4:3 not big as compare to other android phones
7 Lot of bugs in new operating system. bb trying to fix these bugs with update.
8 most of the apps in bb market are not useful
I like bb hardware and reliability but at this price i dont think it is worth for money.

Ugliest smartphone till date..!
S4/Xperia Z/Nexus4/Htc One are much better options.
