Blackberry is not just about phone making business. Unlike Apple, take away iPhone and all of Apple's business is doomed!
You can slap whatever latest and greatest specs you know and want in a smartphone but at the end of the day, you or we are not the OEM's customers wherein they based their smartphones' specs.
If you can customise your own smartphone's specs and hardware and stop moaning, hey hoo, that's better. Can you?!

Worst phone I ever owned.
The screen is over-sensitive, I keep it in my handbag and even the lightest brush selects icons. The phone keeps freezing and sometimes dials the wrong number. It floods with pointless notifications like wifi access, which I need to deleted in batches. This way I accidentally deleted a message thread with my boyfriend, and now I cannot retrieve it. I only have this phone for a few months and it's already irritating me to no end.

For those asking, yes, the Z30 is a great phone. Sadly, Blackberry CEO Chen seems intent on killing off the mobile division with his "back to the future" ideas of physical QWERTY keyboards and oddly shaped phones like the passport. Sure, they'll get some sales, but they aren't mainstream. Years ago Samsung and others took on Blackberry with their own QWERTY offerings, but the majority of the world decided they wanted touch screen and it was pretty much all over for Blackberry and QWERTY
Now Chen thinks the problem is BOS 10.x and has decided to try and grab market share with an Android offering. Perhaps BB market research will come up with a study that will tell Chen what the majority of people already know: most of the market won't pay a premium for a phone that has 2nd class specs no matter how good the OS.
Now Snapdragon just came out with a kick-ass 820 which all reports say have the heating issues that came with the 810 worked out. So why not give the Blackberry community a nice successor to the Z30, but with all the bells and whistles?
I'd like to see a successor with an underclocked 820 (to save on battery since BOS 10.x doesn't really need the HP), throw in 64GB internal storage and all the latest connectivity features to do wired/wireless connectivity to SmartTVs, projectors and monitors. That will get business users excited. Throw in the latest Sony camera sensor to make the phone on par with other flagships in that department. And speaking of Sony, make it waterproof too. Give it 3GB-4GB of RAM along with the Adreno 530 to give the geeks and gamers something to get excited about. Finally, make it a bit thinner, but not at the cost of the battery, so that it can be used as a real workhorse without recharging every day.
Now you have a successor to the Z30 that is worthy of the premium price. If you want to make it a horse race, make two versions, one with Android and one with BOS 10.x and let the market decide which one it wants.
Sadly, it won't happen as it appears that after his failed experiments, Chen wishes this mobile division headache would just go away with a whimper, rather than a bang.

I wasn't really looking for a new phone when I got my Z30 I was in bell just looking around when one of the workers ask me if want to look at one sure had some time to kill and I'm glad I did I just love it. Always said ether you love blackberry or you don't. This one has really been dependable for me I mean I remember when people talk about watching MNF on your phone. It was my playbook that got me hooked on blackberry and I wish they would put more effort into the development of my playbook.

I really hate a android device. Nd I have do not sufficient money to go for any iPhone device.. so now 2 options for me 1. Lumia 830, 730 nd bb z30.. which 1 is better for me? Um big fan of quality sound both earphones or outdoors nd battery, life ... please ples guys suggest me .... thanks
