Her Majesty, 20 Nov 2014Offline speech recognition has been downloading on my phone... moreIf you are still having the issue with the downloading at the top, try going to the app manager, on the settings, scroll from right to left until you get to all and look for the download manager or download, clear the data and force stop it, that should solve the issue

Offline speech recognition has been downloading on my phone for the past 3 days. i have no clue how to stop it. it is irritating. What do I do to stop it?

stencil, 15 Oct 2014Didn't some phones with mediatek chips get KitKat already? ... moreOk, looks like the Mediatek MT6589T isn't going to get KitKat, even though other Mediatek processors are. Sucks. But it's still possible they'll refresh the line with an LTE/KitKat-capable chipset, like the Snapdragon 400, which is really about the same level as the Mediatek. Have to wait and see.

Why leave out the Life Pure line unless you have something else planned? Also, the CEO said in an interview a few months back that they'd have a line of LTE phones in the Fall. Haven't seen anything yet, but I'm sticking to my theory until I see their new phones, my guess, sometime this quarter. That said, it might be 2015 before anything is actually available. One more thought--notice how the price of the life pure and life pure mini dropped over the last few months. That usually happens before an upgrade cycle. we'll see, I guess.

stencil, 14 Oct 2014Doesn't strike everyone as odd that almost the entire BLU p... moreI've had this phone for about 2 months now and I'm pretty much convinced they said eff it and trashed the update idea. It's a mediatek chip and they rarely get updated from what I've seen on countless forums. It would be cool and very much welcomed but I'm not holding my breath. Also an update wouldn't simply magically enable lte capability. Using mine on t-mobile (Simple Mobile) and I get on average 8 down and 2 up. Gets the job done.

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2014When will the BLU Life Pure be upgradable to kit kat?Doesn't strike everyone as odd that almost the entire BLU product has gotten the KitKat update EXCEPT the Life Pure and the Life Pure Mini. These are two to the best phones in the BLU lineup. I have a suspicion that during Q4, these two phones, and maybe others, will receive a more substantial update, including LTE, an upgraded processor, and a UI refresh. The company that makes this UI has released V2; it's similar but a few nice tweaks. Lookout for an announcement by late November, the latest. Just a hunch, but realistic.

I was going to buy this phone, then i realized that it has no card slot,just 32 gb internal memory and i know you won't be able to access all of it,maybe about 29 gb. Plus it doesn't have removable battery, rubbish phone in my opinion.Not going to waste my $$$on this.
