Both Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 slates will use the Dimensity 9300+, Tab S10 Ultra result spotted

More details are falling into place for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 series. The tablets are expected in October and both will be powered by the Dimensity 9300+ instead of the traditional Snapdragon chip. Yes, “both” since the third model, the small Galaxy Tab S10, is reportedly getting cut from the lineup.

We already saw the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ (SM-X828U) run Geekbench with the 9300+ chip, now the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (SM-X926B) has done the same. Check out the motherboard line, it says “gts10u”.

As for the 8-core CPU cluster, it has only large cores – four Cortex-X4 cores (one at 3.4GHz and three at 2.85GHz), plus four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz. The GPU (not tested by Geekbench) is an Immortalis-G720. The Dimensity 9300+ also has Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and the tablets will have optional 5G connectivity (the chip’s 5G modem supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave).

The final line of interest in the Geekbench report is the RAM – it’s 12GB, same as on the Tab S9 series. There should be a version of the Ultra with 16GB of RAM, but that will likely be offered only in some regions and only with some memory configurations (e.g. the Tab S9 Ultra had a 16GB/1TB variant).

The Dimensity 9300+ should perform better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip (despite their later launch, the Tab S10 slates are unlikely to come out after the 8 Gen 4). The MediaTek chip is probably cheaper than the Qualcomm one too, which should be a win-win as far as Samsung is concerned.
