Buy a Sony Xperia 1 with Alexa built-in and save $100

Sony's Xperia 1 launched in the US about one month ago, and its recommended retail price has been a whopping $949.99. If you got a pre-order in, that was significantly sweetened by the company throwing in a free pair of WH-1000XM3 noise-cancelling headphones. If not, however, you may have been considering the Xperia 1 but found its price rather off-putting.

In that case, how about you save a cool $100 and purchase the Xperia 1 for only $849.99? Yes you can do that, but there are some things to keep in mind. First off, this is an Amazon exclusive deal. Second, you need to be a member of Amazon Prime in order to see the price cut by $100.

Third, and maybe most importantly, this version of the phone will come with a "pre-installed selection of Amazon apps, including Amazon Shopping, Amazon Music, Audible and Alexa". On the plus side, Alexa is "hands-free" on this model of the Xperia 1, meaning you can just activate it by saying "Alexa", no need to press any buttons or go into its app. If you want to use a button, then double-pressing the power key will achieve the same outcome.
