I have recently bought this phone,it's great on paper but damn the font size in the OS is TINY.
It looks like they shrinked their touchscreen OS and ported it here.
With not the best sunlight visibility and the tiny fonts,i litterally had it 15cm from my eyes.
The smallest font in the UI is in the Phone book,it shows you 5/6 contacts at once and there is no way to enlarge it.
All of these problems could be fixed with a software update,but yea wont happen.
Shame,otherwise the phone is really something special with this design and its durability.

I bought this phone because I wanted a non Android or OS phone. Basically I wanted a non nonsense device. I had the B15Q and it wasn't a "real" CAT phone, and I'm saying that because it was running Android. And Android has nothing to do with the Caterpillar name. Now, the B 100 has a proprietary CAT menu, which makes it a "real" Caterpillar phone. I absolutely love it. This is used with the SIM card from work, I have a IPhone 5s also, but this little CAT is my favourite, before I go to sleep I hold it in my hand a bit and then I go to sleep smiling because of this "basic cheap phone"

Okay your Icelandic is not good enough in this phone. When I put the phone on Icelandic he will be both on Icelandic and English... That's not good enough. If you are trying to set some language on the phone please finish it

I think cell and smart phones are turning the full circle. The novelty of the smart phone as being a "must have" is wearing thin in certain areas. The B100 is a great no nonsense phone for anyone needing a first class communication tool in ANY working or home environment, My one complaint is the absence of a FONT SIZE selection feature. When one has an emergency, a work or home related SMS etc sending or receiving the font is too minute to check or even read without stopping to put on reading glasses. How about software to correct this, such a feature, well advertised could easily change the B100 into a "MUST HAVE" phone

The phone's software does not have a way to block calls from "unknown" callers. Expect to get calls/interruptions from those using blocked caller ID.

Seems there is not possible to change "theme" or the background picture in the menu screen. Display background only aplies to the main screen. Everywhere else is the stone pattern. This makes it harder to read sms because it reduces contrast between background and text.

The one you are refering to, the Jeep Z6 IP64, is no exception to their plagiarizing tradition, it came out in 2014, announced in 2013 after the first Caterpillar rugged series (with their unique design,features and OS) was released. They didn't even bother changing the Caterpillar's yellow button theme in their cheap immitations,just made an almost identical design and put Android into it.(with bigger screen,meaning its batterylife will not live up to its original usage purpose)
