A fantastic phone for what it is, it feels good in the hand, and it's a fantastic size to boot (smallish). It's also a great conversation piece. People are curious as to why I'm using a phone from the 90's in 2015. I'm always happy to tell them it came out 2013, and it's built like a firetruck. Waterproof as advertised, shockproof, dustproof... If you don't want all the bell and whistles of the smartphones, you'll like this baby.
As for the downsides... It seems that it's a little weaker at grabbing signal in my apartment, compared to a smartphone. Also, the max volume could be higher - I find I'm always playing music at max volume with my headset on, and it's not loud enough. My biggest issue with this phone is that it can overheat easily. A phone call lasting a few hours probably will slap you in the face with a "Battery Over Temperature" warning. I suppose this is the main tradeoff with something built airtight to keep water out.
I had a horrible accident that ended up killing my Cat B100, and I bought another one, after having the first one for a few years... after buying a few more after that... It's that good. A reliable little dumb phone.

Just got my CAT B100 last week and I'm over the moon with it.
Admittedly, it's a no frills bit of gear, offers hardly any of the fancy stuff a smart phone has and really isn't a pretty sight. But that's the point, it's for outdoor use where all that fancy stuff isn't needed, where you've other things to do than playing around with your phone.
For that it's rugged, water proof, takes a bit of hammering and has a real and precise keyboard that avoids fat finger syndrome. In other words a real man's mobile.
For those only used to smart phones the user interface might be a bit of a pain at first. But it's not really much different to land line phones and is in fact simpler to use once you've got the hang of it.
Apart from the rugged outdoor features my biggest joy is the huge standby time of 25 days. I've always hated having to remember every day to keep my smart phone charged.
A feature that I also like is the built-in GPS. Most dumb-phones don't have that, but I really think if you're going to have an outdoor phone GPS should be part of it. For this you can of course install the Google Maps App, but I like to be independent of having to load down the maps from the internet, especially when your in the wilds somewhere without an internet connection.
So I just loaded down OpenStreetMaps that I saved on my SD-memory chip. To read the maps you need a bit of navigation software. There's a whole load of free JAVA software on the internet for this, just Google "Navigation with Java Mobile" or something like that and you'll soon find a few websites offering advice, information and links.
There's a whole load I could still post here, but that's the most important stuff. As far as I'm concerned I don't really miss all the other things my smart phone has to offer, especially when I'm out and about.

I got what I wanted - a worry-free cellphone with green button, red button, contacts and life-long battery. Once forgot into my trousers and through the washing machine it went; 60 degrees Celcius with all the chemistry and still working fine. Drop, drown, forget and smash androids! Happy with it, regardless of the yellow font.

Hi all,
I bought Cat B100 (in Slovakia), few thoughts about it.
I had some work with importing my contacts from Google.
The PhoneSuite Cat B100 5.4.1 accepts only vcf format (no csv), and only one-contact per one-vcf file.
So I had to split my multiple-contacts-vcf file obtained from Google into individual vcf-files (thanks to the VCFCutter tool).
To ensure local language preservation in loaded vcf contacts I had to switch phone language to Slovak. Importing of vcf-contacts into the PhoneSuite Cat B100 5.4.1 program works only by cca 10 files at once (I had more than 150 cvf files).
Big disappointment: imported vcf files were without addresses/pictures. Only name, phone number, date of birth. Addresses and other data are losts.
Another problem: I don't see option for importing Google Maps through the PC-connection. Mobile phone offers only per GSM downloading, what is charged. Maybe someone knows how to do that ?
Yours, Miro

Advo, 19 Mar 2015can dis phone watsup? There is no provision for Whats app and you can't download anything as far as I recall.
Nowhere to go to get it anyway.
Save your money and go for Android or Windows O/S. I own a B100 so I can vouch for its retardedness in this area!
