Mainstream smartphones are still getting bigger and bigger every year, it seems, and Samsung couldn't help but notice this trend. As a consequence, it's expanded its 'premium mid-range' A series with a new 6-inch offering this January - the Galaxy A9 (2016).

This device pairs a 1080p Super AMOLED touchscreen with the Snapdragon 652 chipset - fittingly, as it turns out, because that happens to be Qualcomm's premier upper-midrange chip. So the SoC and the entire phone itself are perfectly aligned in this respect, with 3GB of RAM in there to make multitasking a breeze.
