Cricket welcomes LG X power and alcatel Streak

Cricket is adding two more Android-powered smartphones to its portfolio. First off, let's talk about the alcatel Streak. This same device is already offered by Sprint's prepaid brands Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile as the alcatel Dawn.

If you grab it from Cricket with a prepaid plan you need to pay $29.99. The handset comes with a 4.5-inch 854x480 touchscreen, a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5 MP main camera, a VGA front snapper, 8GB of expandable storage, 4G, and a 1,780 mAh battery. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Next up, Cricket has announced that it's going to sell the LG X power, which was first outed at the end of May. This phone's main claim to fame is its 4,100 mAh battery, because otherwise it's a midranger through and through.

It has a 5.3-inch 720p display, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 5 MP selfie shooter, the MediaTek MT6735 SoC (with a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T720 GPU), 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, and 4G support. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The X power will be available at Cricket starting on August 26 for $159.99 plus tax and with activation of a smartphone plan. For a limited time, those who bring their existing number to the carrier will only pay $129.99 plus tax for the device (a plan still needs to be activated however).
