Deal: Get a free 256GB microSD card when you activate a Galaxy S7 (edge) at Best Buy

Enrique, 28 December 2016

There has not been a shortage of offers for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, starting with the very first BOGO offer on all major US carriers. Customers were able to pick up a second Galaxy S7 edge when they activated a new line. A similar deal has started back in November, but has since ended.

To keep Samsung Galaxy units moving off the shelves, Best Buy is offering a free 256GB EVO+ microSD card (normally $250) by Samsung with activation of a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 edge at Best Buy. Unfortunately, Best Buy doesn’t sell T-Mobile service, so the promotion is limited to the other three carriers: Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon.

Even the AT&T-exclusive Galaxy S7 Active is part of the deal since Best Buy sells the handset. Even so, there’s no sign of an expiration date to the offer, but it’s safe to say it will last at least until Saturday, as Best Buy normally updates any price changes before stores open on Sunday.

If you have been hesitating on a Galaxy S7 with the Galaxy S8 just over the horizon, we suggest you wait to see what the Galaxy S8 will have to offer, as of now, we expect there to be no home button, have 8GB of RAM, and it is said to perhaps even feature an S-Pen accessory, its also said to be upwards of 20% more expensive than its predecessor.

So it supports more than 200GB after all or will your fancy 256GB card only show up as 200 once it's inside the phone?
